I don’t quite understand when you say “set the timing not to bring in older posts”. What do I have to tick or untick or modify in the global settings? I ask for a daily update, and remove items after 4 weeks (if I take never I get too many of them).

Same thing with “the box to eliminate all html”. What should I select or unselect?

I also have an issue with the filters (by date or by name), which does not work properly for me…

I have been working these last days on mqTranslate and arrived to a very satisfying result. The Plugin Author is currently struggling with WP 4.0 update, and seems to be very reactive.

As for the menus, you have to translate the pages (or the articles or whatever) first, and then when you go to the menu section it updates accordingly.
Otherwise, this is the way to write it [:fr]text[:en]text (when you work in French as default language and English).

And same thing for widgets, and for whatever you have in your theme that cannot go through directly.

Frankly, I have found my plugin!!

For info, there is a message from the plugin author on the support page: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/mqtranslate.

Same with me: I cannot use any of the backoffice options (except dropdown boxes) when creating / editing a page, article, portfolio, event, etc.
As soon as I deactivate your plugin, it works (but a translated site cannot function when deactivating the plugin…).
Hopefully I tried on a local copy of my site!

Be careful before going to WPML: you have to verify that your theme is compatible (https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/), and not rely on the theme author!
Its author told me it was -Bangkok press (Theme layers)- although it was not: I bought the package, tried to go around the many disasters with the support of WPML, and finally, after the trial period was over, decided to drop the thing!
Of course, they never asked me at first if I had checked about the compatibility…
Hope you found a way. I am currently trying mqtranslate which looks pretty good. My last problem relying on the switcher (on the top menu / layer and showing only the other available language)

I have the same question: what plugin did you go to?

I have the same problem because one feed item seem to be corrupted by a publicity that is larger than the sidebar in which rss are showing.
I go around the problem by deleting the item in the “feed items” page in the back office… But each time feeds are updated, this item comes back…

I have updated: the search mode is just perfect, thanks!
I still have problems though with the date of some feeds, but it looks like it’s more to do with the feed source itself.
