@peterstevens – I just tested the latest version of WordPress (Version 5.5.3) and this current release and see rollbacks for WP.org plugins as usual. I don’t see anything going on here and can’t really help without more information about your setup and installed plugins. Seems working fine for me (and lots of others).

Thanks @everythingred for clarifying which PayPal. Ok, one more question: If you go to WP-Admin > Donations > Tools > System Info and scroll down you should see “PayPal IPN Verification” and “PayPal IPN Notifications” rows. What are the values for that row?

Hey @cek510 – It sounds like you’re really close to what you need in order to test PayPayl Standard. You need to include your PayPal sandbox* email within the settings page then ensure Give is in “Test” mode. Then when you’re taken to PayPal’s test checkout page make sure you use a different test account to make the donation. The same test account can’t be used for paying for a donation as the account accepting it. This means you need one for the “buyer” (donor) and one for the “seller” (organization). I hope this clears it up a bit for you! Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Also be sure you refresh your permalinks after #2 so that you see the new URL. You can do that by going to Settings > Permalinks and clicking Update.

Note: You can also create a new page called “Gifts” and embed any donation form on that via shortcode. That’s also a possibility.

Hey @madamski – I’m glad you’re liking the plugin! We try to make it both easy for beginners and advanced users alike.

To answer your questions:

1. You would set the placeholder within each donation form by customizing the “Featured Image”. It’s typically a metabox located in the right sidebar on the single donation form pages.

2. What you need to do is add this to your wp-config.php file:

define('GIVE_FORMS_SLUG', 'gifts');

3. I think you want to reorder the donation levels? If so, you can drag-and-drop them within the donation form edit screen. If I misunderstood, let me know.

Hi @marywald – We don’t offer a Square gateway at this time but it’s becoming more widely requested. That said, we may get motivated it get a gateway add-on out for it soon. Thanks for letting your vote be heard! Apologies on the lack of integration for Square at the moment.

Go to “Tools > System Info” and download the text file (or create a link from your site, whichever you prefer) and provide that for me here as a link. That will help me understand a bit about your server environment. It’s possible your server has very outdated tech.
