Anybody got a solution to this, since I’m not the only one?

I found the answer from a help topic from almost 3 years ago, coming from Matt Muro, the plugin author. The answer: The lower the number, the greater the sensitivity; the higher the number, the less sensitive it is.

I have this question as well since one of my clients is getting a TON of spam coming through. Your answer contradicts itself. What is the answer – is the higher number stricter or is the lower number stricter? Thank you in advance!

It’s only a readme text file. It doesn’t actually do anything so it’s totally safe to delete. In fact, from a security standpoint it’s actually a good thing to delete readme files anyhow. I manage roughly 75 websites and trust me, they run just fine without readme’s.

You’re very welcome! BTW, I was able to retrieve the old copy because I use Updraft Plus (free version) to make weekly backups. I keep 4 weeks worth of backups on all my websites and it makes retrieval and restoration very easy. Highly recommend any wordpress user to use it.

I know I had a 404 permission denied error due to the settings in iThemes Security. If you’re running that, you need to uncheck several items in the System Tweaks section – Disable Directory Browsing, Filter Suspicious Query Strings in the URL and Filter Long URL Strings

To add onto this, it seems like turning on the lazy load option helps prevent the need for a second reload to get the gallery to show up, unfortunately that causes another problem – the lazy load adds large gray spaces to the thumbnails. That’s even worse than the reload problem. Turn off lazy load, and the thumbnails go back to normal.

I know this thread is several months old, but I just started using this plugin and I’m finding this same issue occurring – the gallery frequently doesn’t show up until a page refresh. I have a photography website, so having the gallery show up right away is important. Suggestions???

Keyur11, I changed the shortcode from thumbnailwidth=”x” (without the underscore) to thumbnail_width=”x” (with the underscore) and that worked for me. Wish you luck.

I’m glad someone else is running into this – been making me a little crazy. I manage two sites that use wp-filebase pro and I just recently started getting these critical warnings. Tried rolling the plugin back to an earlier version from a month old backup, and I’m still getting the “${“\x47\x4c\x4fBA\x4cS”}[” warnings, which I wasn’t getting before.

Same thing here. What is the other plugin you used?
