I probably would have given it 5 stars, but the “big brother” messages from the app in my WP admin panel reminding me to rate it are a bit annoying. I haven’t done any serious testing of it, so not quite ready to throw my judgement into a 5 star rating. Maybe I’ll revisit in a few months to upgrade my rating. Maybe you can lower the pressure to rate your app. Who knows what the future may bring.

I’ll post more information about the RSS problem I’m having in a separate post once I’ve tried it out again.

update: I had deleted the wp_option rows by hand and missed some. I’m trying that now.

You’re correct. I did install events manager extended, had some problems with that, and uninstalled that. I reinstalled events manager and had the problem. So I uninstalled that, deleted the wp_dbem tables and the dbem options in wp_options. Then I uploaded a fresh copy of em and ran the install. Still don’t have the default placeholders.

The problem with the RSS was that the dates didn’t show up correctly. I was seeing date years like 1969. I ran the RSS through the w3 validator and didn’t see a date field in the xml. I can work with the RSS if I get EM installed again. It is basically what I need and I like it.

I would like to be able to selectively turn off the comments and comment form for certain pages also. Does anyone know of a plugin that adds this capability page by page?
