In reply to: Exhibit plugin update questionThanks Ian, that’s encouraging. I would still like to know future plans for Exhibit if possible.
Thanks!

In reply to: ack-I lost all (but one) images when upgradingFound it again this morning … thanks to kinkistyle for this.
The thread with the hack is called “Exhibit install error: Call to undefined function: get_currentuserinfo()” and it can be found at:

In reply to: ack-I lost all (but one) images when upgradingFixed it. Once I got Exhibit working again, the photos came back. It didn’t seem meant to be until I found a hack in the support forums that allowed Exhibit to work with 1.5. I wish I could thank the author but I can’t find the thread again. The search function is a little problematic today …

In reply to: Upgrading to WP 2.0Ditto from me, Moshu. Thanks for pointing us to the archived version of 1.5.2.

In reply to: Upgrading to WP 2.0MC’s question is mine too. I am currently running 1.2.2 and knew I needed to get my upgrade done. Sat down to upgrade to 1.5 yesterday (what timing!) only to discover the release of 2.0. Yikes! Now I’m really scared …
Advice appreciated!

In reply to: Exhibit 1.1 Photo Gallery PluginHow do I get thumbnail previews to display side-by-side instead of one on top of the other? I’d like to include 2 preview images at the bottom of my posts but want them next to each other.
Also still wondering about the exhibit pictoralis configuration, and why one would use it?

In reply to: wp-photos vs. exhibitRingmaster, thanks for the reply. I’m mostly happy with Exhibit, and the parts I’m not happy with are, I’m sure, related to my own ignorance, as I’ve looked at other sites using it that look great, and make it do things I want to do. Just went to symantix’ site (speakbold.com) this morning after seeing several of his posts in the forums, and wow… it’s beautiful.
Thanks for creating it… I’ll probably be back with specific questions but for now, am futzing along, trying to figure things out myself so as to not be a pain-in-the-patootie to you (or anyone else) till I’ve exhausted my own brain cells.

In reply to: wp-photos vs. exhibitI’ve been wondering the same thing. I downloaded both and am using Exhibit (got stuck with wp-photos with the “whoops, some error occurred. bummer, eh?” message, and although I read and re-read the instructions, couldn’t figure out what the problem was.)
I like Exhibit but would still like to know the difference between the two. Anybody?

In reply to: Exhibit 1.1 Photo Gallery PluginCan anyone explain the differences between using the exhibit pictoralis configuration and the regular exhibit configuration? I’m not understanding why I would choose one over the other and haven’t found it documented anywhere.
Thanks for the great plugin.

In reply to: parse error in post.php No access to admin panelSometimes you just gotta ask someone else in order to get to the place where you can figure it out yourself. I deleted the wp-admin directory and re-uploaded from a back-up. All is well now…

In reply to: parse error in post.php No access to admin panelHi,
I am having a similar problem. I’m new to WP; just started using it this week and all was going well till just a bit ago. Now I get the following message if I try to log in:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING, expecting ‘,’ or ‘;’ in /homepages/46/d87748858/htdocs/gigglefern/wp-admin/post.php on line 523″.I did move my WP files from the “blog” directory to the root directory earlier today (after learning that the style switcher plug-in is problematic when using different directories), and assume this is somehow related to my problem. Although I’m pretty sure I’ve logged in succesfully since then. Have used Dreamweaver for some of my work but could use ws_ftp to reload. Am not sure what to reload though.
Suggestions are most appreciated.
