! hey I had the same problem and found that the cache was preventing to see the last introduced functionalities, clear your website’s cache and your browser’s too, in my case was Total Cache plugin.

you need to render the fields with PHP and save it into JS variables.

get_user_meta( $curauth->ID, "field_name", true);

The data is not on the wp_users table but wp_usermeta.
any way to get it with a user ID ?

please can you share an example of how to call a field let say I have created a field “favourite_food” how can I render in on the front end?

Well, your form creates fields in the database.
how can I access these fields with PHP to render them on the front end?
are they attached to the users or create a new post type?
