In the root directory, are you using file manager in cpanel? If so you might have “show hidden files” unchecked.

I wouldn’t bother with this plugin, seems abandoned and throws errors with latest WordPress and php 7.2+ .

Hmm just noticed when I save it the file size gets bigger without making any modifications, if I open it in notepad it is like it is minified hence giving me errors, any other editor and it looks as it should be, if I copy it to a test folder on my site and edit it and save it doesn’t happen. So maybe a plugin monifying it in real time? gah I have no idea. Trial and error with plugins I guess.

Grrr it ended up to be my browser, brave browser and it’s built in shield that must have been blocking something, 3rd party cookie or something. So if anyone else comes across this post, turn of shield for your site if using brave browser. I thought of that but asked my wife to check but she uses the same browser. Damn was ripping my hair out haha.

REGGSenterprises seems to be the way with wordpress, I have been using drupal for years and only started using wordpress a few months ago but the biggest difference I have noticed is that every man and his dog is trying to flog off wordpress themes, plugins etc and more often that not with no backend demo so you have to buy blind. I think after this site is completed I will go back to the more open source and sharing drupal.
