In reply to: [Pinnacle] Header background disappearingNo, that just makes the title go away…
But this seems to work:
div#pageheader {
height: 100px;
}Don’t know if there are any other negative repercussions from this?
Also, I’d like to be able to do this by individual page (or at least try it!).

In reply to: [Square] New sidebar layout not workingThanks, was able to use Chrome to edit this value and it works!
This was the last hold out stopping me from using the theme, keep up the good work.Can you answer a question for me regarding the sidebar removal?
If you remove the sidebars, is the page/post a fixed maximum width in pixels or is it 100% or something else? Can this be controlled in custom css and if so can you let me know the css entry?Thanks, Glenn
I’ve turned the galleries back on and you can see the problem (or, at least I can!).
This is somewhat affected by the theme, on 2016 it still happens but at least on that theme you can scroll the page up. On other themes you can’t do that for some reason.
Sorry, was trying some other gallery plugins to see if they had the same problem… and they do. Given that NextGEN is my preferred choice I’m going to try and stick with that.
I don’t have any other plugins activated except contact form and the toolkit for my theme.
Have you got a moment to take a quick peek again? Although it certainly looks like my theme.Forum: Themes and Templates

In reply to: [Pinnacle] Pinnacle supports Nextgen gallery?OK so I didn’t have much luck with Nextgen so I tried foogallery and I have the same problem… looks like a theme issue.

In reply to: [Pinnacle] Header background disappearingWell yes that made the title go away, but it didn’t accomplish the main goal of reclaiming that screen space back! Effective I want the top background image to be less pixels high, and just to be behind the menu/logo.
Thanks, Glenn

In reply to: [Pinnacle] Pinnacle supports Nextgen gallery?I should clarify that all other plugins are turned off except the virtue/pinnacle toolkit.
This appears to be a theme issue, my theme is Pinnacle by Kadence themes. I will be reporting this to them as well.
The main issue here is that when you click on an image from the thumbnails and go to the full screen view (what’s that called?), it won’t close properly when you click on the X as I described in a previous post/I deactivated all plugins and no change, however it works on other themes like Hueman and 2016.
This site is brand new and everything is up to date. Hosting is https://www.hostutopia.com
My site page is https://naturalplacesphotography.com/ashnola-river/Thanks, Glenn
Sorry this went from a feature inquiry to a bug report… will get all the info you need shortly.
Glenn
Don’t I need the pro version to get a lightbox? I’m just reviewing the free version and if I can get this working I will buy the pro version. How do I access the “libraries”? I just started working with the plugin yesterday.
I did get a slideshow show the image description underneath it and it would have been perfect except the text went off the bottom of the screen with no ability to roll it up and view the rest of it.
Also I have a bug with the slideshow, when I click the X on the top of the image the slideshow does not close… it does respond by taking the X away, the navigation goes and the border goes. So its kind of stuck, however if I click somewhere on the background it does return to the thumbnail list.
Also would like the images to link to a url if possible…

In reply to: [Pinnacle] Gallery posts – textthe site page in question is https://naturalplacesphotography.com/west-coast-trail/
It’s brand new and I’m still experimenting with my options. I believe I have come to the conclusion that I’m going to go with this theme…Basically I want the post text below the gallery to show on top and have the viewers read it first, yes that means the gallery will be partly below the fold line but I’m OK with that. I may also want more than one gallery, not sure about that yet.
I could also do what I did on my old site, create two separate galleries on two separate pages and link to them.
