    Hey Danny,

Thanks so much for the quick response.

I’ve got two dev sites in subdirs on different servers with the target on one of the the servers. I’ve installed Beaver Builder’s Export/Import plugin on both dev sites and tested it. It appears to work effectively. I even changed a style to test if it would carry over which it did.

The site I’m maintaining isn’t very sophisticated, so YMMV on sites with more going on.

All that matters to me is this plugin works for what I’m doing. Now I won’t have to move an entire installation between dirs. I’ve been keeping the content on the target server up to date with the dev site. I’m hoping all I need to do on the target server now is activate the Kadence theme and then import the dat file.

I’ll post a review. Kudos to the chef.

    One more followup…

I re-activated debug mode. Then I deactivated the Fantastic Copyright plugin and added another record to Spider Calendar. The same problem remains although now none of the debug messages appeared. In fact, no messages appear.

Here’s the sequence of operations I followed while working with Spider Calendar.

As I mentioned in the previous comment, all three debug messages appear at each view change.

Now it looks like I’m going to have to deal with the “Fantastic Copyright” widget.

    =============================================

After entering the Calendar Manager view

After entering Event Manager view (This is when I notice the most recently entered records are not showing.)

Change view to page 2. (Changed view to see if the records are on page 2. They are not.)

Change view back to Page 1. (The missing records are now visible.)

    Enter Add an Event View

Clicked on Save and Returned to Event Manager view (New entry is not visible on page 1)

Change view to page 2. (Changed view to see if the new records are on page 2. They are not.)

Change view back to Page 1. (The missing records are now visible.)

There are two groups of debug messages. The first appears while in the dashboard adding a new record to Spider Calendar. These three debug messages appear after every view change.

These two messages are appearing in the footer now. My client will not want this to last too long so I might reset the debug mode soon.

If you’re interested, I have a text file in which I record each step and show the associated debug messages. It might be a bit lengthy to put here. My comments are very brief. It’s just the same three messages appear repeatedly.

    Debugging mode has been activated.

    The URL is https://senokrlt.org/event-calendar/

I’ll enter some new records in just a bit and update you here re results.

I tried cutting ‘is_home()’ and got a syntax error. So I cut ‘is_home() || ‘ but still no joy.

Yeah, it’s resolved. Thanks, kbatdorf. I appreciate the quick response. Any idea if there is a site-wide slider plugin? I suppose it’s more a feature of a theme, eh?

I was hoping MS would affect all the pages. I inserted their code per their instructions (ie, edit header.php at line 81). It doesn’t strike me as “short code” per se since there is a full line of php inserted with the short code included in it.

I had the impression this plugin is meant to have a site-wide effect. Now looking at the code again I noticed the conditional ‘if (is_home()’ statement. So I guess that means it’s meant only for one page.

    My bad.

The issue can be found here: https://senokrlt.org
It works with other themes: Haven’t Tried
It works when I disable all other plugins: No
    Meta Slider version: 3.6.7

In theme Twenty Eleven after using “view source” it can be seen the Meta Slider code is loaded only to the home page. It does not appear in any of the other pages.

    Steve,
Upgrade went without incident. Very painless. Thanks again for your support.

Yup. I’ll be backing up before. The theme is twenty eleven which, if I understand correctly, is one of the free bundled themes. So no worries there. The plugins are Dropdown Menu Widget, Spider Event Calender, and Subscribr. I’ve already undated them per another person’s rec. I’m hoping those plugins and that theme aren’t all that sensitive to a WP upgrade. Thanks for the quick response, Steve. I think I’ll give it a try later tonight.
