    Hi Michael

Sorry to bother you but I checked this and it is set as you suggest without it working

The linkto the working page is https://eac.eu.com/newsite/join-eac/pre-accredited-member

the link to the Contact DB options is
    https://eac.eu.com/newsite/wp-admin/admin.php?page=CF7DBPluginSettings
Is there something else that requires to be done?

I have a few application forms that require dates entered into the fields.

Many thanks for your patience so far.

I think this would make the entry on the form as eg: 07/2009 if this is the case I still get the error, could you give some guidance if I am correct in putting the coding into the “Contact Form to DB Extension Settings?”

The settings in my WP Settings General for the date output is set at d/m/Y which gives an input of eg 26/06/2013 i set this the same in Contact settings but still get the error

Thank you Michael I take it this goes into the “Contact Form to DB Extension Settings?”

It is a fantastic plugin, very comprehensive and this was my only stumbling point.

    I appreciate your help.

Hi esmi You are correct I loaded the plug ins back in one by one and the one causing the problem was the Keyword Statistics plug in. kept it out and all is being edited normally. I never thought of that as this was the only page i had a problem with. The strange thing is that I have pages of over 5000 words on my other site and Keyword Statistics and edit that page no problem.

Thank you for your help it is appreciated.

many thanks for getting back to me, Esmi, I loaded Twenty Twelve and deactivated all plugins and the page edited at normal speed I tried with all plugins activated and it was just as slow so I will reactivate plug ins individually while running twenty twelve and see if there is a conflict.

Regards and thanks again I will let you know but this will take some time as you appreciate.

Looks good but do you have to generate a separate log in form and registration form as I cannot find one

Mmmmmm Thanks Esmi I will try that to see if that solves my little problem
I thought by password protecting that would do as I only want to stop general site visitors from accessing information that should be just for members eyes only.

    thnks for your hel;p

    kind regards

Hi Esmi thanks for coming back so quick. I am not using a membership plug in. I have simply added a password protected page so where on the right hand side where you select what Piublishing detail you want I entered password protected and entered the password.
    Status: Published Edit
    Visibility: Password protected Edit

This causes WordPress to ask for the password if anyone tries to access this page from the main navigation menu. That is where this page comes up with the URL I quoted, it is this page I want to access and cannot find.

Hope this clears this up for you and thanks again. I am now passed the going grey and am at the stage of computer flying out of window.:-)

Hi Folks I was building my pages in draft format and when I published one of the pages the Page Parent re-appeared albeit with a reduced number of pages to select from but that is a small point at least I can go back to developing my site.

I do not know if it helps but in the dashboard the pages that had alread been allocated a parent page still show a dash before their name and the detail of the Page Parent even though when you open quick edit page parent is not available the word parent is there but immediately followed by position

Hi WPyogi many thanks for taking time out to try to help. Yes it did just suddenly happen. I am using Max Magazine theme and have done so from start. I deactivated all the plug ins, which were working when the Page Parent disappeared, but it had no effect, I re-activated them one at a time checking each time to see if Page Parent was back but it wasn’t. I changed the them back to Twenty Ten and this had no effect either. I tried installing WordPress on one of my other URL’s and the Page Parent is there which puts me at a loss. I am working to a deadline and the only thing that I can envisage doing is a total unistall and a fresh install to see if that works and to start building the site again which at the moment is 79 pages (Yuk!!)

Any more help would be greatly aprpeciated. I should say that I have other WordPress sites on the same server that feature the Page Parent drop down box
