I can’t use Subscribe To Comments Reloaded at the moment because it sends an opt-in email to all Spam-Emails if the Bot ticks (and it does) the subscribe box.

I can’t use Akismet because of legal issues in Europe/Germany.

I watched redis with redis-cli monitor and saw a lot of keys like 2:terms:get_terms-9cdfae0fe36150df41a462e15fdc84c6-0.44170300 1586687153

The last part of the key seems to be a timestemp. Is this correct? Due to the timestemp I think this key will never hit again.

thank you for your suggestion. I added site-transient lately because I cache some API response and if I flush the cache too often, I get in trouble with the API limits. Anyway it seems that it doesn’t prevent the transients from flushing. After flushing the redis database is completely empty… I will change it to WP_REDIS_IGNORED_GROUPS

I set a maxmemory-policy. Hope that helps.

If Subscribe to Comments Reloaded runs after preprocess_comment you just have to check the current status.

thank you! I cache the REST API but I excluded the Endpoint now. It now sends a content-type: application/json header I fixed the display: standalone, too but still the same behavior.

I tried various things today but still haven’t found a solution for my problem.
