Thank you for your swift response! My colleagues REALLY like the idea of having multiple search boxes. We’re trying to build an index listing and they want people to be able to choose from between a first name or last name search box.

Hello! Sorry for the late (wow, okay 4 weeks late) reply. I’m using InstantWP to locally test a build, so alas I can’t share it.

What I’m using:
* Page Builder by SiteOrigin
* Corp Theme by SiteOrigin

When I enabled Search in Place, it overwrites the default search box as designed. However, when I start typing in known keywords, the little drop down box appears under the search box. The searching animation shows, but nothing ever comes up. When I then hit Enter, the search results page is accurate.

I’m using Google Chrome with some pop-up suppression plugins enabled. Yet when I check in a new Firefox install, I witness the same behavior.

Update: I did a hella lot more testing and discovered that it’s just a single page that it’s not working on. #wut

Found the plugin conflict: WP What Links Here and Paragraph Commenting together breaks it.

But if you run either one alone, it works fine.

I’m seeing the submission working here, but then I get a bunch of garbage back above the form:

You’ve gone above and beyond. I appreciate your work so much. And now I feel very guilty because I found out that we actually have multiples of a single resource type, so this point we’re priced out of this plugin.

Thank you so very much! Does it matter that the number data I’m asking for is a barcode and not a phone number?

This is a complete long shot, but do you think I can add something for Luhn validation checking? My colleague would be in charge of that piece, but I’d want to make sure his code refers to this (‘phone’+bk_type) field. I’m guessing his code would live somewhere else, but inside this file, a line would say “check this code against this outside file’s Luhn validation.”

Strangely enough, they said that when they signed onto my admin account then logged out, then logged back into their own, the issue was gone. No idea what happened!

I removed the plugin. It was strange — the plugin was working great, but then randomly I got all the 404 messages. My permalink structure is to use the post name. With the plugin activated, I tried every permalink structure, but the 404 messages were still there. It wasn’t until I disabled the plugin that I could see my pages again.

Yep. I’ve tried multiple computers, browsers, and cleared the cache.

Publishing pages and posts show up. It’s just the widget areas and CSS stuff that won’t change. For Widgets for example, I’ve put various random widgets in the widget areas and hit save. They don’t show up.

For CSS, I’ve tried to change the blue bar to red and widen the space for the title. Nope. No difference.

Man, that’s so bizarre because I’m looking at the code in my text editor and it’s <i class="fa fa-phone"></i>
