In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] wp-includes missingIn one case, the entire wp-includes folder mysteriously DISAPPEARED from the current installation!
No explanation for HOW that suddenly happened can be found.
To save time, we just did a completely, new installation from scratch and imported a backup of the site — and changed passwords, of course.
WHERE IS THIS STATED IN THE DOCUMENTATION????
“…make sure that you are using a v2 reCaptcha key for your site. Currently Ninja FOrms is not compatible with v3 recaptcha keys.”
This SHOULD be stated in the plugin description.
We were using V3 and it was working fine until we changed web hosts.
There was NO EXPLETIVE that needed to be redacted…
UPDATE:
I learned a good lesson (again): never rely on what other people say they’ve done without checking for yourself TWICE.
I’ve always liked the Newsletter Plugin, so this mystery just didn’t sit right with me.
I personally checked the site AGAIN and found that a plugin, WP Mail SMTP, had been activated by a team member after I’d deactivated it. Once I deactivated it again, the SENDER name resolved to the Newsletter plugin’s setting as desired.
[Expletive redacted]
I returned to this support forum to straighten things out for anyone who may experience similar problems.

We searched but could find NO info on how to DELETE THE NEWSLETTERPLUGIN.COM ACCOUNT in an effort to free the domain. Hopefully, we will receive a response from someone in the forum or, hopefully, the Newsletterplugin.com team will be so kind as to delete it.
Since we’ve heard NOTHING…
We deleted the plugin; deleted ALL Newsletter plugin entries in the database and in the options in the database; deleted the website and started again with a new installation of the plugin.
It appears that the problem IS with the account we had to register here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/wp-login.php.
> IF we use the account associated with the website AT ALL — even after creating a new license key — the problem of the SENDER AS THE WEBSITE ADDRESS instead of what we type in and desire continues.
WE have even created a different website on a different domain; registered a new account here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/wp-login.php; and installed the Newsletter plugin and it functions as it does on all of the other sites we have recommended clients to purchase the pro version…
So, the PROBLEM IS ON THE NEWSLETTER PLUGIN’S end, not ours.
This does not make us feel very inclined to continue to recommend pro versions to anyone in the future. Just saying.
We posted this information for anyone else having issues, as we have received NO RESPONSE from the plugin creators, and we don’t want anyone else to be held up with work they need to do.
UPDATE: 4/23/20
We checked the plugin in the website’s database (in wp_options and wp_newsletter) and the sender name, etc. is as we desire and what we expect it to be when emails arrive.
However, when the test emails do arrive, they show up with a gmail address that was first entered when setting up the plugin but not the email we changed and desire to use for SENDER.
We cannot find a reason for this annoyance.
Ideas, please?
Thank you.
That is an extremely limited preview…
Thanks anyway.
I replied with a solution that worked for us. I did not have a need to search through all of these support tickets — thought I’d contribute in this ticket for anyone else searching for a solution.
WE had this problem, too, but discovered that our .csv file needed to be in the format of the “sample.csv” that can be downloaded from the plugin’s AUDIENCE screen — small writing under “Select CSV file.”
We had too many fields in our original document, so we made a copy and extracted only the NAME AND EMAIL fields. The upload of contacts went through immediately.

Thanks

In reply to: [Gallery Lightbox] Lightbox not working; only links to media fileI have decided to use another plugin on this site [ deleted too ] as time is a bit sensitive for a presentation I have coming up.
However, I ENCOURAGE OTHERS WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM TO PLEASE POST HERE so that we can get this issue resolved.

In reply to: [WP Force SSL & HTTPS SSL Redirect] Everything I wanted from thisI know that you do! But some folks need a little extra help… maybe actually tell them to FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND EXACTLY or screenshots.
But then, again, you’ve done enough work by creating an amazing plugin.
Thank you again!
