As this is a month old perhaps no one will see it but I’m having trouble implementing this. I used the code above and get nothing.

Someone has to have some idea. We can’t be the only ones to ever deal with a situation like this.

    No ideas?

    UPDATE:

Well, mod_security was indeed the problem. The word “socialism” was in the title and it contains the word “cialis,” which seems overly cautious. The host has turned mod_sec off.

Thanks for the assist. It really was a big help!

The .htaccess is stock WordPress. Nothing extra in it. The only other spam plugin is akismet and I never heard of it causing problems.

Thanks so much for the response!

I’ve disabled Bad Behavior and changed the post slug and the problem is still there. Any other ideas? Maybe we need to contact our host.

I just looked at both sites and they look fine.

I have the exact same behavior. The post displays once for each category it is in!

Thanks macsoft3 but that didn’t work. The error I’m getting in phpMyAdmin is “PMA Database … not OK” Every time I import my database I end up with that error message and my blog doesn’t work. I’ve Googled that error message but I don’t understand what I’m finding. It seems I need a superuser but I’m not sure how to go about that and GoDaddy isn’t willing to help me.

The error I get when attempting to open the blog in a browser is that either the db_name, db_user, db_password or db_host is incorrect or the database server isn’t running. I know beyond doubt that all those things are correct in the wp_config.php file. I’ve double checked and double checked again.

Right now I’ve pointed the domain back to the old blog so it is at least usable again. Starting to pull my hair out. I’m three days into this and I don’t appear to be making any progress.

Thanks, I thought I’d never find the host name. Now that I have it, I still have the same error. I’ve updated wp-config.php with the information. I know the user name, database name and password are correct. I’m still stuck.

    Otto,

Thanks for the reply. I understand better now. I do not, however, understand why you rudely accuse me of not reading. I did read the page, every word of it. It didn’t appear to me to address my question. You’ve now cleared that up and I’m in better shape. I see the connection that eluded me before. I’d see it just as well without the condesension.

I’ve tried very hard to be clear as well as polite and gracious. Why say stuff like, “if you had bothered to read it?”

Otto, I really do appreciate your help. But I seriously wish you and some others would learn to be a little more gracious. I certainly don’t know what more I could have done.

Consider this thread resolved. I’ll mark it so as soon as this is posted.

Thanks but that page does not address my question. ADMINNICENAME was simply an example.

Doing my own search for validation there are many pages but I’ve found none that address this question. This is not to say such pages aren’t there, but I’m not finding them.

So I’ll post a few of the errors I’m getting here so, hopefully, my question will be more clear.

Error Line 166 column 161: element “ADMINNICENAME” undefined.

Error Line 166 column 178: end tag for “ADMINNICENAME” omitted, but OMITTAG NO was specified.
(These first two occur multiple times)

Warning Line 179 column 97: character “&” is the first character of a delimiter but occurred as data.

    My questions are these:
    1. What file in my blog are these errors refering to?
    2. What do I do about it?
    3. Are these errors likely to cause the side bar to appear at the bottom on most themes?

    Again, thanks for any help.

In addition, what file am I supposed to look at in relation to the validator? I looked at index.php but there is almost nothing in it, cetainly nothing related to the errors.
