we’ve testet it in FF, Chromium & Safari – it works as expected. Can give me some more details:

– installed WP version
– used Browser & Version
– PageBuilder in use?
– your OS

if you’re using Gutenberg you can format the answer as you want.

If you’re using Single FAQ to conquer the AnswerBox in the SERPs you can also format the answer between the opening and closing shortcode.

If your’re using Multi FAQ in the TinyMCE then you reach the limits of the TinyMCE. Because the answers need to be in one shortcode you can’t make use of HTML – the TinyMCE will delete the special characters < ” > within the answer area of the shortcode.

We’re sorry but this a limitation of the TinyMCE/Shortcode itself. Switch to Gutenberg ??

yes, the shortcode works in my test-install. Please make sure you use normal quotation marks – i’ve copied the shortcode from above and found differnt formated quotation marks. There is a difference between

” vs ″ vs ”

The last one is the good one ?? this can sometimes happen when you use the visual editor in special environments – then the tinyMCE formats the the quotation marks in a wrong way.

Just replace the quotation marks with the one you find on your keyboard (search&replace function) and the shortcode works.

For all the others reading this post: if the checkbox “Render HTML” has been checked you’ll see your FAQ in the frontend of the website in a pre-styled box (and you’ll find the JSON in the source code)

If unchecked, only the JSON is output in source code. Your website visitors will not see the content.

you do not need to insert the multi-FAQ Shortcode multiple times. You can answer all questions within one shortcode!

Select MultiFAQ in your TinyMCE and at the bottom of the lightboxmodal (where you insert the question and the answer) you’ll find a button “Add one” – this means “Add another FAQ”. Then you can a second, a third etc. FAQ.

there can be a problem when your using a PHP version lower than v7.0.

But the plugin checks which PHP version is in use and if there is a version lower than v7.0 the plugin can’t be activated.

Can you give us some more details so that we can check if there is a problem with the plugin?

the best way is to write the shortcodes manually and copy them into a HTML block of the pagebuilder.

@w00tw00t111 At the top of lightboxmodal is a checkbox “Render HTML” – if it is checked the attribut is html=”true”. Unchecked it is “false”. See the screenshots at the plugin page. html=”false” is specified at the end of your shortcode. In this case only the JSON will be output in the source code but the website visitor cannot see anything.

If the user should see the FAQ just change html=”false” to html=”true”.

these fields are optional and had no effect how the events are shown in the SERPs.

Anyway, we will add these fields within the v1.4 update.

ja, es müssen alle Anführungszeichen in dem Standard-Format vorliegen, ansonsten werden sie nicht als solche erkannt (weil anderer Zeichensatz) und der shortcode kann nicht gerendert werden.

Im normalen TinyMCE kein Problem, aber die Pagebuilder zaubern da manchmal etwas zuviel …

if technically everything works fine, than it’s up to Google to decide if it shows the extended snippet.
Maybe check the user intent for the query: is it really necessary to show up FAQ in the SERPs?
