In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Promising but Ultimately FlawedIts really too bad it has these problems. I really like the mouse over displaying the featured image on the widget, and the simple calendar with mouse over image too. But this fear of updating and losing all events is a pain. I haven’t been able to find anything free that compares however. Still looking and testing out other event calendar plugins.
The author did contact me over the weekend, which is commendable. However, I found a fix on the website by myself, right here https://wpaam.com/support#viewtopic.php?f=4&t=29 If admin rights are lost this will bring them back. A download of fix.php file. It works great and all is well now. I would change my star rating to 3 or 4 if I could but I don’t see an edit feature for the original post.
I activated advanced access manager on a clients site. I got a message asking if it could migrate existing data to newer version, so I said yes. Now even tho I am admin, I cannot access much of the dashboard. So I removed the AAM directory from plugins via ftp, and then installed the developer version via cpanel, but still cannot access everything. I did get a AAM on the dashboard but it doesnt seem to allow me to add capabilities, very confusing. At any rate i am at a loss how to fix this and get back to making this website. of course i failed to take a backup before turning this on, thinking it was no big deal. Someone please help!
oops
I have standard version 1.10.1 and now it says I need to update to 1.10.3 but I did that earlier and it crashed my site. So I am hesitant since i had to redo all my events. @nicola what do you recommend?

In reply to: [Slim Jetpack] Mosaic gallery and WP default gallery both showI found the problem. Removed some functions.php tweeks made to correct display of the carousel format earlier on, and also under My Theme > Settings, chose “Disable Gallery Shortcode Customizations” at the bottom under Theme Features. Now I have both carousel and tiled working perfectly.
I use ithemes.com builder parent theme. its amazing. they have a ton of free videos on all aspects of wordpress here https://ithemes.com/tutorials/
Yes of course you have to submit thru google webmaster. I did do that, and was indexed pretty darn quick.
yes, its very simple. no settings but the site map is created and sent out to google and bing, i believe.
I used this one instead, very easy.

Google webmaster also got 404 page not found. They really dont seem to have any WP plugin advice. However, I find google very difficult to find answers to anything.
I have authenticated my site in google webmaster tools previously. I am concerned tho that if I put in that sitemap url it will bounce and may cause problems. But I will check out the trouble shooting. Thanks
I am getting the same problem. In fact, it even says the following in the Settings:
“The URL to your sitemap index file is: https://puresync.com/sitemap.xml.
Google was successfully notified about changes.
Bing was successfully notified about changes.”However I get page not found. Frustrating as I don’t seem to see any response to this problem which numerous people have posted.
