I solved my own problem… It was as easy as uninstalling it and re-installing it. LOL

Samuel Wook, I’m not an expert with WP, I know enough to be really dangerous. Where would I find the htaccess rules?

https://www.ads-software.com/support/users/sterndata/: I installed the the health check plugin and set my default template to twenty9teen and still could not edit any of my pages or posts.

https://www.ads-software.com/support/users/jnashhawkins/: Yes I use upDraft. I will try rolling back tomorrow, I have a meeting to go to.

I have done that too (disable everything – all plugin’s) and still it doesn’t work.

I just reinstalled WordPress and it didn’t change anything. I still can’t edit posts or pages.

I have, the wordpress website was installed using FTP not their control panel therefore their control panel doesn’t work on it. That is why they suggested that I create a new website with their control panel and move my existing website into the new one I created using their control panel. I have never done this before and I’m not sure it will solve my problem, I’m concerned that I may just move the problem to the new environment.

I have the same problem, have done all of above and problem still exists.

I have disabled all plugins except WP Maintenance Mode and activated Twenty8teen theme and still can’t edit or create a page/post through the admin panel. I don’t have a clue what else could have impacted the REST API, I’m not technical enough to understand REST API.

Earthlink suggested that I create a new website using their (new) control panel and move our existing website to it. This may be doable but I have never done it before. Is there any help on how to do it (step-by-step) or someone that could walk me through it if it is the best way to move forward?
