I see that the link you mentioned is in fact the url when I am in the list section of the plugin. But that doesn’t address the issue of how to sync. Perhaps the larger issue is that I don’t seem to be connected to Constant Contact, even though the plugin says I am. I get a message from wordpress that I have a new subscriber, but the list in CC is not added to.

I have just recently been having this same problem.

Can you advise me how to run the sync you mentioned above – it’s not clear where to find it in the WordPress dashboard.

No, I’ve tried it in Firefox, Edge, and Chrome, and the problem is persistent.
But, as noted, it is not happening on other machines.

Is this something that you’d be interested in doing for a fee? I have a modest budget to work with, and if I could make it so that the links could be found through WP search, and also displayed in some logical result, it would add value for me, plus you’d have an enhanced plugin.

But with the menu option, I’m not seeing how to do a target=”_blank” function.
Which is pretty important for external links.

I tried this (though I have not had to do this in the past). If I look at the link url in the editor, it is correct. However, when the page is published the link converts to the post location.
I’ve been using WP for years and am fairly fluent – this is a new situation – very strange.

There is a disadvantage to this: when search engines find text that is the same color as the background, they are likely to ignore the site. The search engine cannot (or does not) assess the functional value of the text in this situation.

I think I have solved the problem by reinstalling WordPress. I am still curious about what happened, but my need for support is reduced.Thanks for your time.

I did look at the link you provided, but it is not clear to me what code this gets put into – it seems unlikely that it would be each of the php files for the site.

Possibly related: I seem to be getting implants of htaccess files in the main directories of various sites, and the content is:
