Hello @hirlagans,
I just wanted to post a short follow up here. We are currently in the process of including a new function to the plugin, which will allow you to block using:
– User agent
– Hostname
– IP rangesWhile we cannot provide an ETA, it will be available in future releases of the plugin.
I will be marking the topic as Resolved, you will be able to post an update if you would like us to take an additional look as well.
Best Regards,
Gergana PetrovaHello @cartpauj,
Thank you for the additional details. I have forwarded all of the information and suggested fix to our Developers.
While I cannot provide an ETA and confirm that the suggested fix will be implemented as is, we appreciate the feedback and will keep you informed when there’s any progress.
Best Regards,
Gergana PetrovaHello @animesubways,
The provided information is not sufficient for us to check the issue at hand. Please specify the domain name where the error is present and steps on how to recreate it.
If you’re not comfortable with providing your domain here and if you’re a SiteGround customer – please open a new Support Ticket from within your account, supplying the thread here as a reference, so our team can look into this on your behalf.

Gergana PetrovaHello @zmzdtc888,
I am afraid this kind of functionality is currently not available within the plugin.
You may either exclude the files using the drop down menu or using the exclude filters, as suggested by my colleague.
If you’re experiencing issues with the exclude filters and if you’re a SiteGround customer, you’re welcome to submit a Support Ticket from within your account, so our team can check further on your behalf.
You may use the topic here as reference.

I have forwarded the recommended solution to our Developers, who will review it further. I am afraid, however, we cannot guarantee if it will work with our set up and if similar feature will be implemented in future versions of the plugin.
If you would like us to additionally test the issue at hand and see if a different workaround can be implemented – please submit a support ticket within your SiteGround account.

Gergana PetrovaHello @remcotolsma,
While the script will be included in the combination, since it’s detected as being used in the specific URL that is visited, the same script can’t be found in the $wp_scripts global variable, set by WordPress.
We are using said variable for detecting registered scripts, in order to list them as suggestions in SG Optimizer >> Frontend >> Javascript >> Exclude from Javascript Combination dropdown.
Since this is more of a corner case, for similar situations we suggest using the filter, that we’ve added, in order to exclude specific script from the JS combination manually:
add_filter( 'sgo_javascript_combine_exclude', 'js_combine_exclude' ); function js_combine_exclude( $exclude_list ) { $exclude_list[] = 'script-handle'; $exclude_list[] = 'script-handle-2'; return $exclude_list; }

Gergana PetrovaHello @remcotolsma,
Our developers are currently working on a fix which should be included in one of the future releases of the plugin. While we cannot provide an ETA, we will update the topic, when the fix is released.
With that in mind, we will be marking this topic as Resolved.
You will still be able to post a reply, if needed.
