So, I assume that’s in the base css file? wouldn’t that be set in the dashboard? In EVOLVE, this is where I assumed I’d control this (see pic)

But now as I look at this, there is no font color. huh?

Thanks! That did fix it. My pause was why it happened in the first place. This was a switch from one theme to another, but the custom css was copied from another site, blah, blah, blah…

Somehow the original file was overwritten. I think when I did a theme update. Not sure, but I’ll know to watch that in the future. So I went to the backup hard drive and pulled the edited one out. All is well.

I just copy/pasted that between the sites above and no change.

Edit: Opps, now it disappeared on other site. Back to drawing board. Hold those support thoughts…

That was it. The “custom” had been checked and was messed up. One more thing to check. Sigh.

Needed to be in: MySite/wp-admin/widgets.php

The “meat” of the home page (text) is gone. You have to use the “home” menu button to get to it.

**Edited above… it allowed me to change the permalink to “home”, wp refreshes the save as “…com/p/home”, then if you refresh the page, it changes back to: “com/p/home-2”.

Issue 1;
Thanks! I didn’t realize that “Pages” had it’s own trash. There were two iterations there. Eliminated them and bingo, it allowed me to rename the other.
****Or not. It allowed it, then changed it back. However, now, “home” and “home-2” both work. This is dumb!

Issue 2;
Was essentially all mucked up due to the directory change as you guessed. Had some caching issues too.

Okay, now I have issue 2. Their hosting is at 1and1 and I’m really challenged by the interfaces of trying to run the old site while developing the new one.

In the WP general setting, I had to put the directory “/p” in the settings (through MySQL) or I couldn’t browse to the dashboard.

However, now the rest of the menu system won’t load the pages correctly.

HELP!!! (or should this be a separate topic?

Chris, do you know where the custom css file is stored in the WP structure? I’ve done some searching and can’t place it.
