i dont want the image to be there twice, i understand what a featured image is and what its used for but technically i want it removed from being seen in the post, but i want it to still be seen on the homepage where all my recent posts are stored.

no that image is inside the post but the actual featured image is showing above the post in like an extremely large size

hey robbieobbie, I am having a little of the same issue only I want to just remove the featured image from posts. I want the image to show on homepage but i dont want it to show in the actual post itself. What should I remove and from which file would this be located? Ive got the files open and sitting right in front of me.

I want to be able to open up my website and first thing you see is my latest posts and then when you click on one of the posts I want it to open up to its own article so viewers can read the damn article!

I want it to go to my home page but why isnt it displaying on the home page is what im asking?

In that website you clock on their homepage and its their posts page which is what I am trying to do but cant figure out how to set it up like that for the life of me. I want my menu item “home” to be the place where my blog posts would be when you click on the title of it from my first page. Because currently when you click on a post it takes you to a blank page.

for some reason every blog post is going to a permalink ending in /blog when I dont even have a page called “blog” this is what I am talking about I want all my blog posts to get posted to my URL.com/home

@martcol I appreciate all your help but your not understanding what I am trying to ask here at all. Okay let em start over, I have it set to where my recent posts get seen upon opening my URL, but how do i make it so my page that says “home” is my blog posts page? I do not have a page anywhere called “blog” because I want the “home” page to serve as the blog so How do I set that?

This is what im trying to figure out, I have not started writing posts because I want to figure out the way it all works first. I have never done this before so its all new to me. I really want my “home” page to be where my blog shows up. But how do I do this exactly? Because when I go to settings–reading—and select static front page and choose “home”, I still have to put something in the spot where it says “posts page” which posts page obviously means blog page so this is where im getting really confused and have no idea what to do!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay when you type in my URL, I want the first page people see to be my “recent posts” but when people want to see my blog I want them to click on “home” page to be able to see the blog.

But if I do that and I choose home as to where I want my blog, than what do I mark down for where it asks for the “posts page”? I want my blog to be the first thing users see when they open the site and the blog is on the home page.
