@thomascharbit Do you have a plugin that overrides default password generation in WordPress? Something that might generate more secure passwords?

Something modifying the wp_generate_password() function output is the only reason I can think of for why html_entity_decode() would be needed.

@surbma This wouldn’t be affected by caching at all, thankfully; it’s all after the entry has been submitted. Caching is often the problem, but this plugin won’t be hurt by caching unless the plugin is de-activated and re-activated and the cache isn’t cleared.

@surbma @blakemiller What version of Gravity Forms are you running?

The 2.5 Gravity Forms release has caused some JavaScript-related functionality to fail. This plugin uses JavaScript to function.

From what I understand, those issues with Gravity Forms have been fixed in 2.5.4.

@emmanuelkuebu I’m afraid that if the plugin isn’t active and you’ve cleared your cache that we’re not able to help.

Please do check with Gravity Forms support—this issue may be related to their recent Gravity Forms 2.5 release.

The plugin is deactivated now, as it is not working properly. Can you please check, what could be the reason to send entries to spam from high traffic forms? The forms, that have this problem processed 200-300 entries since then.

The plugin adds JavaScript to the form that adds a field when the form is submitted. If that JavaScript is modified by a caching plugin, that could explain it.

@sjmacnz Does your caching plugin compress JS or HTML?

Have you tried disabling other plugins except for GF Entries in Excel and Gravity Forms, then attempting to save the configuration? I ask because what you describe sounds like there might be a conflict.

If that’s the case, it’s not this plugin that’s causing the issue.

@antonynz Have you updated the 1.1.1? The fix is included in the update.

If you have updated, please try clearing your site cache if you don’t experience the fix.

Thank you @co50! The newest version (1.1.1) uses a different method that should be even better. It loads the script inline where Gravity Forms loads their scripts and uses the same hooks.
