Sometimes after changing the nameserver it can temporarily affect your ability to connect to the website, including the backend. This affect can be geographically specific, so the support team at hostgaitor might see something different to you.
If you still have a problem after a few hours of changing the nameserver this is probably not the issue.

It sounds like you want to display a link on a page that says ‘latest posts’ instead of ‘related pages’ – this is essentially a theme issue as all links and features available by default are dictated by the theme.

However you may be able to accomplish this by using a plugin. Try searching ‘show latest posts WordPress plugin’

@fcgrabo It might help if the number of posts displayed on one page is reduced. However I just visited sixpacktech from my phone and it loaded reasonably fast.
It might also help to use a caching plugin, but they can be tricky to get right. I don’t think the amount of data in a database will increase or decrease load speed until the number of posts reaches the millions. It is likely more to do with bandwidth and server speed which your host will be more helpful with.

@elevatingyourbusiness i believe it is possible to increase php max input var, however after some googling it appears as though this is related to how many variables can be passed by WordPress or input into forms, so increasing may not have any affect on the speed. But could explain why some plugins don’t function as expected, as they need to pass variables.

Are you referring to the Tools menu inside WordPress dashboard?

It would be easy to restore access to the Dashboard by simply renaming or moving the theme and child theme folder which will deactivate it, this will cause a default theme to be activated and also temporarily stop the changes you have made from affecting access.

In order to help you make changes to the your child you will need to provide more detail to explain exactly what changes you have made and what you are trying to accomplish or you may need to upload it to a collaboration tool like GitHub and post a link, that way people can take a look and make changes or give you advice.

I apologise I may have given you the wrong help information. Just so I can be clear on what you are trying to do and give you the best info can you please tell me if are you trying to translate posts and pages or trying to change the language used in the Admin Dashboard for WordPress? As you can probably guess what i’m leading to here is, WordPress does not require a plugin to translate any text that comes built into WordPress, but you will need a plugin such as WPML to translate any text/literature that is published.

But back to your original query: the only thing I can think of is that WPML may be conflicting with WordPress default language settings, but I doubt this, it may be a good idea to address this issue on the WPML help forums, hopefully someone with more technical knowledge sees this post.

If this issue has something to do with the work on gravity forms, narrowing down the problem by disabling gravity forms and any other custom plugins may assist in troubleshooting. If you have access to FTP, login and rename the plugins folder to plugins-disabled. This should disable all plugins (including gravity forms), this will tell you if it has something to do with Gravity forms or not. to re-enable plugins, simply rename the plugins folder from plugins-disabled to plugins

Its hard to know exactly why this is happening, it could be that you’r host storage is full and WordPress wont download the language file. First I would try installing a language plugin. try this one: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wordpress-language/

Just for future reference. If you can write your tutorial with precise instructions (meaning I don’t have to do a lot of thinking or planning) than generally I would be glad to write CSS code for the purpose of this forum, generally most people will do this for you just to provide community assistance, most people only ask that you try to phrase your question in a way that 1. Is easy for me to go ‘ok just do this’ this might mean you hav to break up what your trying to do into smaller tasks, and then secondly if your question benefits the community and is not just very specific to you, I would be glad to write that code so it helps lots of people. The trick here is to phrase your question properly and to not ask too much in one go. Take it slow and step by step. You could start by starting a new forum topic called ‘how do I chane the background color of contact form 7’
