There are a few plugins out there that allow you to set the image that shows up when you share a link on facebook.
I know WordPress SEO by yoast offers this feature. you can set it to individual posts or you can set a site wide default.

I believe the official Facebook plugin does it as well. Jetpack by Automattic i think does it too, it comes with their sharing feature.

@urgableh I noticed your website is working fine now too, what solution did you use to fix your site?

btw i managed to get liveroomescape.com working fine, it ended up being the .htaccess file. I deleted it and then got WordPress to rewrite a new one. and that fixed it.

Is your website working now? i was thinking maybe it is a DNS propagation issue. if your still experiencing issues it is probably not a DNS issue as a DNS issue would resolve itself over time.

I would check my wp-config.php file and make sure im connecting to the correct database host and the correct database.

Other than im not sure, sorry. Hope your host can help.

I’m such a doofas. jetpack only shows notifications from your wordpress.com account. you must be logged in to wordpress.com in the same browser for it to work.

Wait i think i misunderstood how to use jetpack. I shouldnt connect it using my personal wordpress blog because then everyone on my WordPress install has to use that connection.

ill make a new wordpress.com user account in order to connect jetpack and www.ads-software.com

Its hard to tell what the problem actually is. If everything that relies on MySQL is failing but flat database is not than this would sound like an MySQL problem. However you seem to be able to get WordPress going which means MySQL is working, but you still have issues in WordPress.

If you have no plugins installed and have not modified the WordPress code, and WordPress is connecting to the database properly, i can’t see why there would be an issue especially since you say WordPress has worked fine up until now.

Theres a lot more troubleshooting tips i could give you, but I just cant tell what your problem is and i dont want to send you on a wild goose chase since i’m not super advanced at WordPress so i might be missing something simple here.

Good luck with it ?? (p.s) id try installing WordPress in a new subdirectory and give it a brand new database. see if an entirely separate WordPress install has the same issues.

I manage to solve that issue for you, i sent you an email about it.

It ended up being the .htaccess file, after i was able to get WordPress to rewrite it properly everything is fine now. pretty permalinks are working.

Hey that is really good to hear, im glad WordPress is working for you again. self hosted WordPress can be a bit tricky sometimes.

Generally i strongly recommend anyone im installing WordPress for professionally, like my recent work place, that they use a hosting company that is a advocate of WordPress and actively promotes its stability on their servers. for a business it ends up being more cost effective cause they have less problems.

WordPress started out as a hobby for me too, when it plays nice its fun to work with, its fun to make stuff with.

Yeah you’re right it probably is a hosting/php issue which means they are your best bet.

Hopefully your hosts support can shed some light on this too.

also i think there should be a check box below the comment box that says tick this box when the issue is resolved or something like that.

Dont delete the FTP folder until you have backed up everything and started a new topic for your particular issue ??
