I am using Litespeed – iv only been using it for 6 months, used to use apache, iv never really noticed a difference.

Hey sorry for the late reply. I have been using your plugin on a website and it seems to work well.

I’ll email in, hopefully its not to late to grab a copy of the pro version.

This ended up just fixing itself over time, maybe with an update im not sure.

Two possible troubleshooting avenues:

1. double check https://yourdomain.com/wp-login.php isnt working (i tinkered with a similar issue and the php file was still accessible)

2. connect via ftp and look for the the wp-login.php filename that has probably now been changed.

3. type in https://yourdomain.com/login/ to see if that works because sometimes it automatically redirects you too the login php file.

I’m not heaps good with the backend stuff still learning, but i hope that helps.

Hi, I used Easy Modal plugin to solve this problem – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/easy-modal/

Install Easy Modal plugin, use the editor to insert content into your modal.

Follow the instructions to obtain the class id of your modal, then add the class to the link, button or image link where you want the modal to pop up.

quick-tip: if you use this plugin, be sure to set ‘display modal sitewide’ to yes, Myself and some other users had to do this to make the plugin work.

Thanks for that. this plugin is pretty good, but seeing the other people talk about a possible security threat scared me a little.

im gonna use WP better security for now, ill keep checkin in on login attempts because its handy little plugin

iv noticed this plugin doing some funny things too, like users being able to get around the lockout after login attempts is reached. im gonna uninstall this just to be safe.

msb006 is the Author of this plugin, so clearly his comments are biased. Actually i haven’t had many problems with plugins in the past, and I generally attribute that to avoiding plugins like this.

the problem with WP Webapp is not that it fails to perform. the problem with WP Webapp is that the it has no useful features, you must purchase the Webapp Pro version if you wish to use any feature that is even mildly useful.

this plugin sets you up and then lets you down.

I recommend finding a tutorial that explains how to place ios and android splash screen icons in place for your website so that when you save your website as a webapp favourite bookmark on the home screen of your iphone or android, that it will display a nice icon, and when the app loads it will display a nice splash screen. You can accomplish this easily with a few lines of code and uploading your icons and splash screen with FTP. this plugin will not do all of this for you, so a simple 10 minute tutorial that runs you through it with ease will be much more worthwhile than this plugin.

Downloading this plugin will only get you half way there, i recommend finding and following a good tutorial, dont give money to this plugin.

another Feature request: in addition to booking spaces at an event/location, would it be possible to have the ability to book a room at that venue. I use this plugin for a businesses organisation that share a building with other organisations. We would love to be able to give the room organiser a login and be able to book a room when we create new events at our location.

i would imagine that i should be able to add rooms to the saved locations. and there may also be a need for a Bookings manager role in addition to the Event owner/manager role.

also a lesser priority feature request, something cool would be the ability to book spaces by having Events manager create a facebook event, and the people who click Join from facebook would populate the spaces available at the event. this may require users creating a facebook app and having events manager be able to create events and detect how many people have joined, said maybe or not going.

I use litespeed on NetRegistry and i prefer it to the apache server i use on melbourneIT.

I don’t mind which one i use so long as i can be confident that if my website gets a burst of traffic it wont crash. And im able to easily make changes to php by .htaccess or php.ini.

my experience with Apache through melbourneIT has been discouraging, and my exprience with litespeed through netregistry has been a breeze.

mostly running wordpress but also moodle and vtiger. all except wordpress a nightmare to setup on melbourneIT. the problems i had at melbIT were probably because of them and not apache software.

check that the email is not already in use by a different user by going to Users > All users and check the colum that says email for the email that is used by the Vkontakte account holder in question.
