In reply to: Why are my folders visible to the public?no only that i could see the plugins and folders on my site but not www.ads-software.com. I thought maybe www.ads-software.com had hidden their plugins and wp-admin folder some how. and thought maybe i could do the same thing.

In reply to: Comment Notification Has Stopped WorkingFar out that is so strange, quite possibly could have been a WordPress glitch. im glad to hear its all working again ??
I really love the WordPress iphone app for managing comments, i wish it supported custom post types so plugin developers could connect their plugins to the WordPress app through jetpack. that way i could manage wp-events manager from my iphone.

In reply to: [Refer a Friend Program for WooCommerce] How can i check this is working?I’m pretty certain i set this up correctly, iv deactivated all unnecessary plugins and i have switched to a twentyfourteen theme and it still doesn’t seem to offer and kind of friend referral or discount in checkout, nothing shows up at all.
Thanks David,
I hope its from updating the plugin.
I’ll go to wordfence support as u suggested.
Thanks again.

In reply to: Comment Notification Has Stopped Working@zephyrhillblog I have been playing around with comments on one of my sites over the last day, and i discovered that I had two user accounts, and 1 of them was the author of some of my pages and posts, when those pages were commented on i did not get an email because the notification goes to the page/post author (which in my case ended up being a user account i created ages ago and never used again).
This took me a few minutes to figure out, and i thought hopefully this might be helpful to you, but now as a read over the thread again i can see you most likely don’t have multiple authors because this came out of no where.
To fix this problem for me, i went into the pages section, selected all the pages and did a bulk edit and changed the author to me, now i get notifications for all pages and not just some pages.
on the slim chance this is the problem, i hope this helps.
Ok, cool thanks. A bunch of event bookings came through this morning and i can now confirm that its all working properly. what ever i did it seems to have fixed itself.
Thanks for getting back to me, im super psyched about the conditional place holders, thanks heaps ?? can’t believe i missed them.
Sweeet! these conditional placeholders will be very helpful.
I have not been able to reproduce this problem either, and i think i will be able to fine tune exactly what i need, ill go ahead and mark this as resolved, thanks for the links ??
Thanks Marcus ??
Thanks David, I will go ahead and post in that support forum.
I thought maybe Updraft itself performs an operation that would change the admin.php file and maybe some other files of inside its own directory.
Im not really asking about WorFence, rather if Updraft does anything like modify its own files?
I am doing some tests, and when i submit a booking for myself and i wait until the cut off for the booking as passed, the number of available spaces reflects the true amount of tickets which is 9 in this case.
I can’t figure out why the bookings for the other events are not causing the relevant #_AVAILABLESPACES shortcode to reflect the number of booked tickets.
I manage this website for a business in Las Vegas, and the store has several staff members which make bookings for customers by acting on the customers behalf using the no-user booking mode. I suppose there is a chance one of the staff members did something unusual.
I will keep this ticket open and run some more tests and then close it if the problem does not surface again.
any tips of feedback or ideas from others is welcome ??
Ok so i figure out that i had set a cut off date to the bookings. so bookings become closed after the event starts.
the only problem with this is, it seems to reset the available spaces. this isnt a problem so much, but for me it is. Take a look at the front page of my website Click here you will see my events listed under todays session times on the right side bar of the main page. It lists the spaces that are still available for each event as well.
Ideally when an event closes or is fully booked it should disappear from my todays sessions time list, or the event calendar entirely.
To help users understand that they can only reserve tickets if there are available spaces, i have put in the Available spaces shortcode in the event listing.
Take note that the available spaces resets back to its maximum when the booking has been cut off.
for me this is confusing to customers, could you suggest a better way to use the shortcodes and to organise stuff???
or is this a bug? I will post a new topic addressing this specifically.
Sorry i had a blah moment.
Of course the setting requires to have no-user booking mode enabled other wise it doesnt work ??
