Thanks for the response. Unfortunately I have tried everything you suggested but no luck. Still not “set featured image” option when editing a post.

Been tearing my hair out with this one. Nothing I tried worked. Almost gave up when I found this plugin. WP Facebook Open Graph protocol. https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/wp-facebook-open-graph-protocol/

It allows you to select a default plugin. Not a long term fix but it’s good enough for now.

To delete the featured image from the post I just opened the edit page and clicked “featured image” then clicked on the “remove featured image”. This might work for you. However this does not remove it from the blog page.

Do you or anyone know how to remove the featured image from the blog page too?
