In reply to: [WP-SpamShield] Conflict with Buddypress/bbPress siteHi again Scott,
I know you told me to use your main support page and I promise you I will if I ever have another issue or question, however I wanted to further my previous issue and thought it best to continue this thread. Hope you don’t mind.
Anyway, I need to ask you if there is any specific order that I should be deactivating and reactivating plugins and clearing caches to ensure that I don’t experience the same issue with the “ERROR: JavaScript and Cookies are required in order to register. Please be sure JavaScript and Cookies are enabled in your browser, and reload the page” message?
It’s just that after the update to your wp-spamshield plugin yesterday or the day before my registration page started throwing up the same error message. I cleared my browser cache and then my Siteground Supercacher caches, but the error persisted. After that I deactivated your plugin, did the cache flushing again, reactivated and it worked ok.
I have been looking at your troubleshooting guide and can see it is important that “Caches should be cleared every time a plugin is updated, added, or removed from your WordPress site!”.
Do I need to clear all my caches every time ANY of my plugins are updated, added or removed or just when I do anything to the wp-spamshield plugin? I am supposing it applies to all plugins, but I want to be sure. Do you also recommend that I deactivate the wp-spamshield plugin whilst I flush the caches?
Sorry for all these picky questions, it’s just that I want to have a clear procedure for the future so that my register page is always functioning well. And so that I can best use your great plugin, which I really like.
Thanks Scott,

In reply to: [WP-SpamShield] Conflict with Buddypress/bbPress siteHi Scott,
Thank you very much firstly for your great support here and also for your brilliant plugin. Seriously, much appreciated.
Your faqs and troubleshooting guide is incredibly comprehensive. I got to the part 4 which suggests flushing all caches and this solved the problem. I had flushed the browser cache and purged my SG Cache, but it required master flushes from my CPanel of all related to my Siteground Supercacher.
Now all seems to be running well again with my site and your plugin.
I am going to work my way through your troubleshooting guide anyway just to make sure I have everything set up correctly.
Thanks again for being so helpful and efficient.
Cheers,

In reply to: [Postman SMTP Mailer/Email Log] Postman setup with GmailHey Jason,
Thank you very much for your reply and for clarifying this matter. I really appreciate it! All sounds good and makes sense.
I have to say again how great your plugin is. There is a real necessity for the service it provides and it does so excellently.
What kind of help do you need? Not sure if I would be technically knowledgeable enough to help out, but I could let a few of my contacts know and see if they were able to get involved.
Thanks again and all my best,

In reply to: [Postman SMTP Mailer/Email Log] Postman setup with GmailHi Jeff, the plugin is awesome and the info available is also pretty great, but I still can′t find clear instructions and reasons on how to choose: Type: SMTP or Gmail API & Security: SMTPs or STARTTLS. Maybe I am missing this somewhere but I have looked a few times. Regards, Adam

In reply to: [Postman SMTP Mailer/Email Log] Postman setup with GmailHi Jeff,
Thanks a lot for replying. Really appreciate it!
Yes, the settings that worked for you are also the ones I have employed.
I guess they must be the ones then.
I would still like to be 100% sure of the options I have chosen though. If anyone knows of any clear instructions explaining exactly which options should be used and why I would love to take a look.
Postman SMTP is a fantastic plugin and I am very grateful but I feel it would benefit greatly from a clear and simple instruction manual.
Cheers,
Adam
