I’m sorry, but I should have posted back that, yes, I found the lines of code to copy-and-paste on the plugin settings page, and that works fine. And I also understand it is not possible for me to generate a string to use in a filter. So I guess this topic can be closed out.
Thank you!
That seems to have done the trick. Thank you.
I couldn’t find reference to this step anywhere in your documentation. Did I miss it somewhere?
Also, while I have you, how would I generate the navigation HTML code so I could assign it to a string variable? I need to move one instance of the pagination block to something else that is a part of the_content, so I would need to use a filter and strings.

In reply to: wp_link_pages displays links incorrectly in preview? No, but I quickly ran through the list of suggested things to try. I uninstalled a plugin that may have been the problem, but it turned out not to be. Since this is about a preview link (?p=###), altering my permalink structure wouldn’t change anything in this case. And the third thing was post in the forum. ??
I should point out that it shows up just fine on archive and search listings, but not at all on single posts with <!–nextpage–> tags.
But not consistently. I make some changes to the content.php file and the changes don’t appear. Do I need to do something besides uploading it to the child theme folder?
Nevermind. As soon as I posted this, it started working correctly. ??
Well, since I couldn’t get any of the recent posts or display posts plugins to display exactly what I wanted how I wanted, I just went ahead and wrote some code for myself in a page template. I probably should have done that from the beginning. ??

In reply to: [Awesome Surveys] Error 403Hi, I thought I’d add to this thread rather than create a new one, since it looks like I have the same problem. It started giving a 403 error after a few days.

In reply to: Home Page takes up about half the screen on smartphoneThanks, Brad, for your reply.
The twenty fourteen theme seems to have
‘<meta name=”viewport” content=”width=device-width”>
already in the header. I tried it with the additional argument, but there was no change.

In reply to: [Slideshow Gallery LITE] Adaquate Basic Slidshow, But With Problemshttps://www.gameindustry.com/subscribe/
Right now I have edited lined 38 of css-responsive.php to remove the “!important” from the width property of the “#slider{id#}”, which allows all of the thumbnails to occupy a single line. With that “!important” in place, it will overwrite the width to be the variable “$styles[‘sliderwidth’]” which always seems to be 825px regardless of how much width the thumbnail images actually need.
When an update comes around, the css-responsive.php file is overwritten, and the “!important” is returned, causing the problem again and necessitating editing it out again.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

In reply to: [WordPress Popular Posts] Plugin Has Stopped Accumulating DataOkay, while the totals have changed slightly over the last 8 hours or so, the total amount of views listed are significantly lower (like by a factor of 10) than what had been accumulated before the last update, as well as different categories of post showing up as more popular than before. What in the new version account for this?

In reply to: [WordPress Popular Posts] Plugin Has Stopped Accumulating DataLooks like I spoke too soon. Since clearing both caches, it only logged a total of 25 views between 15 different posts. I am fairly certain we had more post views than that in the last 8 hours.
I have taken a screenshot of the “last 24 hours” view stats, and will compare it with what I see tomorrow.

In reply to: [WordPress Popular Posts] Plugin Has Stopped Accumulating DataOkay, I ended up clearing the caches of both WPSC and WPPP. Also, I set the Ajaxify widget to Enabled in the WPPP settings. It now seems to be accumulating views correctly.
If you knew the new version changed the way the plugin updates the views count changed, causing a possibility of interference by caching plugins, you might have said something in the version notes or something.
Anyway, thanks.

In reply to: [WordPress Popular Posts] Plugin Has Stopped Accumulating DataOkay, I cleared the cache. I guess we will wait and see.

In reply to: [WordPress Popular Posts] Plugin Has Stopped Accumulating DataBut, before the last update, the most popular post in the last 24 hours has always gotten 80-some views. The most popular one in the list now has 7 views. And it has had the same number of views for the last three days. So either something really weird happened with our viewers’ habits, or the totals we are seeing in the settings are incorrect.
I was using WP Super Cache, but I had been using is before the last update and everything worked fine.
