I tried to disable all plugins and set Twenty Fifteen as default theme. Same problem with cURL.
I attempted to troubleshoot as per https://www.nextscripts.com/tutorials/how-to-check-if-curlssl-is-working-properly/ – the test indicates SSL certificate problem.
I guess, I will have to talk to my Internet service provider.
I didn’t make any changes in the server configuration, and everything worked fine until the end of December 2014. Most likely this is something in WordPress. I guess, I can disable my pluging one by one and try to do the validation to narrow down to a particular plugin, if this is a plugin issue and not something introduced in WordPress 4.1.
Could you tell me if https://www.e-dynamics.be/wordpress/ is on WordPress 4.1?
Thank you!!
Not quite sure what is going on from the log:
volo.net - - [16/Jan/2015:16:48:35 -0500] "GET /wordpress/?eme_ical=public HTTP/1.1" 403 212 "-" "curl/7.26.0" d54c55f54.access.telenet.be - - [16/Jan/2015:16:49:27 -0500] "GET /wordpress/?eme_ical=public HTTP/1.1" 200 445 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:25.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/25.0"
I also tried another validator at https://icalvalid.cloudapp.net/ – getting Request Rejected.
I wonder why web browsers easily download the ics file, but the validators are rejected with HTTP error 403?
My General settings:
WordPress Address (URL): https://gardensquare.org/wordpress
Site Address (URL): https://gardensquare.org/I should have used https://gardensquare.org/?eme_ical=public but it also could not be parsed in the validator:
Your calendar is using an invalid newline format. Make sure to use \r\n to end lines rather than just \n (RFC 2445 §4.1).
Sorry, your calendar could not be parsed.
Error: Error was: Error at line 1: Expected [BEGIN], read [
Cause:Your calendar shows perfectly fine in my Google calendar, but my calendar doesn’t. I have added Lunar New Year event on February 19 2015 for testing. Maybe the issue is utf-8 charset? How can I remove it?
Mine doesn’t validate:
https://gardensquare.org/wordpress/?eme_ical=public
I wonder what the difference is?
I tried that, I am getting:
Would you like to add calendar: https://www.e-dynamics.be/wordpress/?eme_ical=public?
answer Yes
You do not have access to https://www.e-dynamics.be/wordpress/?eme_ical=public's calendar
And also your calendar is empty at the moment, no events in 2015. If possible, could you please add a few 2015 test events, holidays or something like that to test.
Thank you very much for your help!
That code was taken from the following post:
https://www.e-dynamics.be/wordpress/?topic=google-calendar-sync/#post-43964The idea is to add the link inside the wordpress page that would automatically take you to your Google calendar and add a wordpress EME calendar as a separate calendar in Google Calendar. Does the following code work for you:
<a href="https://www.google.com/url?sa=D&q=https://www.google.com/calendar/render%3Fcid%3D[eme_ical_link justurl=true]" target=_blank>Google Calendar</a>

In reply to: [Events Made Easy] Add to calendar linkI had it in Details instead of Single Event Format settings. It works fine now, thank you! But only for Google calendar. Is it possible to do it for Windows Hotmail/Outlook/Live clients?

In reply to: [Events Made Easy] Add to calendar linkAs desribed in the docs here: https://www.e-dynamics.be/wordpress/?page_id=195
I added the following (just for Google Calendar), in one line:<a href="https://www.google.com/calendar/event?action=TEMPLATE&text=#URL_NAME&dates=#_{Ymd}T#H#_{i}00/#@_{Ymd}T#@H#@_{i}00&sprop=#URL_EVENTPAGEURL&location=#URL_ADDRESS,#URL_TOWN&details=#URL_LOCATION">Add to Google Calendar</a>
But I am prompted with the default blank event, and my EME event doesn’t copy to Google calendar.
Hi Stefano:
I asked my question a few times already, and I was going to buy professional extensions, but there is no reply. Could you please help?
Thank you very much!
