Thanks so much for your reply! I hear that adding to a specific group isn’t supported by the plugin at the moment; is there any plan to add this feature? Groups seem like a really great feature on MailChimp, and it’s a shame they aren’t well supported in the plugin.

Thanks for the link to the guide; I assume the hidden field label should be “Group” and the field tag should be the name of the group. I’ll give it a try and contact MailChimp tech support if I can’t get it to fly.

Thanks heaps for the reply Evan. I want the user added to the group of my choosing; I don’t want them to be presented with a choice. Is there some way to specify a default group for them to be added to?

As a quick hack workaround in the meantime, I’ve added this line to the top of includes/inpostads/content.php:wp_insert_inpostads_filter_the_content: (just after the $options = … line):

if (is_feed()) { return $content; }

Perhaps to you they’re not spam, but they are to me. Ideally the plugin should show a message warning the user that any link will cause the comment to be treated as spam. If people want to leave links, my blog isn’t for them.

I’ll have a look at your plugin, but it doesn’t sound like what I’m after.

My solution was to switch to JetPack, and use it’s Publicize feature (which supports several social networks, not just Facebook) instead.

But you would think that Facebook of all people should be able to make this work…

I’ve looked deeper into this, and found a fix/workaround. The problem seems to be related to MailPress’s attempts to reproduces the TwentyTen theme’s bad habit of changing the header image to the featured image; which almost certainly isn’t what you want anyway. See this article for how to fix it.

I’ve just noticed exactly the same problem on my site. Reading this thread, it’s just twigged that MailPress stopped sending posts at the same time that I started religiously using featured images.

Here’s a log entry for one such post:
