    Here is the piece of code in my sidebar that is causing the problem, if anyone wants to advise…

    <div class="menuItem">
    	<ul>
    	<?php get_links_list('-1', '<li>', '</li>', ' '); ?></li>
    </ul>
    </div>

    Having the same problem here. If I remove the code that refers to links, however, then I have no links/blogroll at all in my sidebar.

    Alright, I simply did a re-upgrade from scratch, and now my blog is at 2.1.1. I am still getting an error message in my sidebar, however:

    WordPress database error: [Unknown column ‘cat_’ in ‘order clause’]
    SELECT * FROM wp_categories WHERE cat_ID > 0 AND link_count > 0 ORDER BY cat_-1 ASC

    Might this be due to some customization I did in how my Links are displaying, maybe? I seem to remember customizing the code for the order in which links display, but it’s been a long time…need to check it.

    I am going to mark this post resolved. Our Dashboards sarted working again, suddenly. I have no idea why. Maybe my email to my host tech support had some effect after all, even though they denied responsibility.

    This is the totally unhelpful response I got from my site host. Sounds like a form letter.

    “Hello,

    We are unable to determine any indication that this issue is a result of service modifications, as there have been none. You will need to consult with the vendor of this software for further assistance in resolving this issue as it appears to be application related. If one or more of your installs within a particular account were left out of data, or you had any other outdated applications installed to your account, including application modules, you may have been victim to a compromised account. I would recommend that you also perform a complete audit of your account to ensure the integrity of all content within. Thank you.”

    So, it looks like I am out of luck. Please, if any of you have any ideas, please please help me. This is extremely frustrating.

    I emailed my host’s tech support about the issue, but have not heard back. I may have to start a new ticket if I don’t hear anything today. Thanks for all the help, and I’ll keep you posted until this is resolved.

    That worked, partially. Now when I click login, it skips the dashboard and goes to the “Post” page. That’s ok as far as I’m conncerned, and probably it’s good for my fellow bloggers. But is there a way to enable dashboard access? Or do I need to contact my host?

    I tried the upgrade with my blog, and though it was a successful upgrade I still get a blank page when I click the login link.

    I can still access the admin panel via the “Edit this post” link on single post pages. However, when I click the “Dashboard” tab, I get a blank page, or else Firefox opens a query window: “You have chosen to open index.php. What should Firefox do with this file?”

    Any other suggestions? The upgrade to 2.0.4 did work–I confirmed version number at bottom of admin panel.

    I have one blogger who can’t access his blog at all because his posts do not have an “Edit this post” link. Thanks for all the help.

    That is actually what our Host techie recommended–and they are the ones who provide Fantastico for us. Fantastico is absolutely worthless as a tool to keep your software updated.

    Will upgrading solve the problem, though?

    No, that plugin is not enabled. Should it be?

    As of this morning, this blank page issue is a problem on at least three of the blogs at our community site. It seems to have just cropped up over the weekend. Everyone assures me they have not installed any new plugins or made any changes to their blog. One person had not even posted in over a week, yet he was having this problem when he returned to blogging on Sunday.

    I see that no one responded to your post. I have some experience moving from b2Evolution to WP. I don’t know what build ‘Phoenix’ is, but I just moved a friend from b2 evolution to WP, and he was running version 0.9.2.

    What errors are you getting? I found that my problem with the import script had to do with my mis-remembering the username/password combo. Remeber, it wants the username/password for your server or host, not your blog username and password.

    However, after the import, I noticed that the importer did not work as expected: blog names were not imported as top level categories (in fact no categories were imported), and comment counts were set at zero, even though posts had comments.

    I have not found a solution for these yet, and I suspect it may come down to a compatibility issue between the import script and the latest version of b2Evolution.

    I’ll give it a try. Thanks for the link. Is there a reason why this problem is occurring? Is it because I use too many different computers to do my blogging?

    The exact error is “You must enable sending referrers for this feature to work.” There is a link to the page in the Support documentation on enabling sending referrers. I have done what that page suggests, but it has not worked.

    Sometimes I can post with no problem, sometimes I can’t. Strangely, when I’m using my computer at work, behind a firewall, I don’t have this problem. It’s only recently cropped up, and it’s only on my home computers. Do I need to log out of WordPress after every use?

    That’s pretty tough for me, not having created a theme before. Are there any online guides to theme development? I already have a homemade header graphic I want to use, and a general outline for what it would look like. It will be simpler than a true theme. I don’t need much of a sidebar, basically just a search box and a list of the “pages” (chapters) for the work. Still, this may be beyond my skills.

    Thanks, I’ll try the ideas you suggested. Hopefully, one of these will work. I do want the footer beneath both columns.
