In reply to: Can I disable that new 2.6 default border around all images ?Thanks Otto, I found it, by not entering anything the the second box, i.e. the Caption box (which is translated into something else in the Swedish WP language file) it works like it used to in 2.5 (where the box could still be filled out but never mind that), meaning I don’t get the caption box around the image.
Thanks for a quick reply.

In reply to: Deleting and/or Limiting Post Revisions in 2.6?Greaty, I was just looking for this too ??
So presumably you could add X = 1 to just save one revision, i.e. the current post ?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Can I disable that new 2.6 default border around all images ?By the way, all those 3 fields were there in 2.5 too.

In reply to: Can I disable that new 2.6 default border around all images ?Ehrm, I guess ? ??
I’ll get you a screenshot in a moment, but what do you mean by caption, where do I enter (or not) that ?When adding images I have the fields “K?lla” (Source), “Bildtitel” (Title or “Image title” I guess) and “Beskrivning” (Description), would it be any of those ?

In reply to: Media upload fails after upgrading from WP 2.5 to WP 2.6Perfect, that solved it, but why is it suddenly necessary in 2.6 ?
And the description text still says “optional”.Oh well, it works in all ways and images sizes I’ve tested so I’ll just close this question. Thanks omgitztrey!

In reply to: Can I disable a href in image tags ?Err, bumping this question due to I’ve discovered another small annoying thing in this.
In the Swedish language, “None” is “Ingen”, and the href tag that gets inserted if you choose to have no link is “a href=Ingen”.Well this has another small drawback, I can’t test whether this applies in English too but I would suspect it, someone else can possibly confirm of deny, but when the image has a tag that says a href=Ingen and you click on that (since it’s clickable) you are taken to a bloggentry starting with that word.
For instance I have a bloggentry with the title “Ingen galleria byggs…” (No mall will be built), and if I click on an image where there’s supposed to be no link I’m taken to that entry.Kind of confusing for those who actually follow the links that all images are linked to that one and that it’s completely off topic for all (most) other posts…… ??
So it’s still back to manually removing the tags from the HTML code.

In reply to: Can I disable a href in image tags ?Thanks, it seems to work, at least partially, now instead of inserting an a href-link to the image, the addition of an image just adds the tag ‘a href=”Ingen”‘ (Ingen=None in Swedish), this works since there’s no link with that name but wasn’t the purpose rather to not insert the a href at all ? Just curious.

In reply to: ThumbnailsSorry, some more browsing and I found this, helped me at least, https://www.dagondesign.com/articles/change-default-thumbnail-size-in-wordpress/
(in my case the default to not keep proportional thumbnails was preselected, unselecting it and the thumbs were back they way they ought to be :))

In reply to: ThumbnailsI second this, is there some way to get the “old-school” pre-2.5 thumbnails generation working ?

In reply to: Is downgrade possible ?Thanks, I think I’ll close the topic here, I did make a backup as I wrote, but I wanted to check whether I could revert without it, but from the postings made here and elsewhere it looks like the database structure is altered and it is most likely not possible, so I guess that’s it.
If I get the time I might try around with first an sql restore and then importing missing posts via xml.
Thanks anyway everyone!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Is downgrade possible ?autobengal, well yes I did, but I’ve been using it since and so there’s a number of unbacked posts. Which was why I wanted to check whether it was possible to revert without downgrading the database.
StrangeAttractor, thanks for the tip, it seems I ought to stick with this version a little while and see what happens.
At least I think I’ve sorted out the posting problem, every time I try to post using IE6 the server becomes unavailable, but posting via Firefox works fine except formatting works poorly, so I’ve found that by writing a stub and posting it via Firefox I can edit formatting in IE as I like it, but I can’t repost it although saving works so I can save and then repost in FF… Oh well…. ??
