OK well I am totally lost and it seems like a terribly long process to get through what was originally supposed to be a 5 minute process.

My hosts do not seem to have the phpMyAdmin support and I am now literally too scared to change anything.

Did that and I am still faced with an empty, white page when I try and open my site.

Sorry MacManx but I don’t understand a word of that – I cannot find any phpMyAdmin thought my hosts’ contol panel and don’t even know where to look for the database itself

I’m really battling here… sorry, as said, I really don’t understand what you were telling me to do

My old 2.3 WordPress files (I kept the Content directory intact as instructed) does not even seem to have a Twenty Ten theme… so which one should I try then?

the phpMyAdmin method is greek to me… I have no idea how that works…. read my original post. I am a lady who is feeling very cold (winter here) and frustrated late at night with this darn thing and no ways am I going to be able to figure out phpMyAdmin unless you can give me some simple instructions.

Thanks Manx I did that already (see my previous reply) but nothing happens. I als checked that all the (new) files for the admin &include folders were copied over from the unzipped folder

Should I perhaps delete all other files (apart from the content ones) as well? I am too scared to just do it… (this comes from reading the extended version of the upgrade thingy)

If the answer is yes

I have a copy of my existing config.php file, if I DO delete all the other files as well, could I use that one to save some time?

Sorry I meant to say I did the renaming etc already via ftp but it does not help. I still just get the blank screen and at the bottom it tels me “done” – so it is not finding anything…

Really weird and frustrating

I can’t get to any plugins. I see nothing at all, blank screen. How do I reset plugins if I cannot even get to them?
