Your database information should be in your host’s cpanel under sql database.

I fixed it. I cleared my cache and that solved it. Then I had a new problem. Got it fixed. ??

Your welcome. I am fixing to move my blog to a new host soon. So hopefully all will go well with importing the database and WP files. Kinda nervous as this is the first time I am moving my WP blog since I came from blogger 3 months ago.

Can you somehow get a screenshot of the message. Also have you tried removing the theme you just installed. That might fix it.

If your blog is still working, you can click on manage in the dashboard then click on Export to export posts and comments. All your themes and plugins will have to be reinstalled tho.

I am om awardspace as well for now. I can’t get akismet to work either. I don’t think its possible.

About the best advice I received was to install a theme you like into your host thru ftp. Then install web developer and edit css add ons onto Firefox.

You can right click and chose edit css right from your blog front page and edit it then see what it looks like right then. Then make it pernament by saving it in edit template in the presentation tab. Hope this isnt confusing. Best advice search around here alot.

Not quite that simple but it is pretty easy. You have to fire up your ftp program and log into your host. Then go to wp-content/plugins. This is the place you place plugins. Heres a link for more info on plugins. https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Managing_Plugins

They shouldn’t be able to unless they know the user name and password. WordPress blogs have this page to login. For Example https://www.anexampleblog.com/wp-admin/

plus put the .php on the end of wp-config. Thats the only way I can save it in php

Something is incorrect.

I would either log into call hostgator or go to the database settings/manager. It should show the database you made along with the host name for it. If your DB name, DB user name and pass are correct. Providing wordpress with the right hostname should fix it.

Sounds like that will fix the problem. On most hosts you don’t have to change the last field.

Database names I think need to be different, if not it won’t install right.

I really do not think that two databases are necessary, but just a different directory.

Blue post titles and links seem a little neon to me. I like the rest of it.
