SiteGround has cleared up a few issues and narrowed it down to Simple Calendar.
As soon as I activate the plug in I get:

In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] Can’t clear error messageI host with SiteGround, which has what they call SuperCacher. It’s a mix of dynamic cache and Memcached, controlled by their SuperCacher plug in, which features a Purge Cache button. That’s all it took.
When I checked the database for powerpress_errors and didn’t find it, it knew it had been cached.

It was not banning my IP. I was in the admin from my home computer and trying to break in from my iPad on cellular, so it had a totally different IP.
