@linkmeister it is how it is, unfortunately. With the updated WordPress 5.5 older generations of plugins we’re bound to break and for that, there’s nothing any of us can do.
@dagnew solution is listed. You’ve got to read.
All the issues you’re having start with your Themes and Plugins. (Yes really).
I’ve updated all my plugins and themes and all my problems have gone away.
You can use a TEMPORARY FIX jQuery is the issue in your themes and plugins. You can install jQuery Migrate Helper it will tell you what’s causing the issue and temporarly mitigate them. It’s been listed a few times on this post.
@reviewkingz
1. The major issue is an outdated code in your Theme.
2. Update all your plugins to the latest
3. As a STOP GAP to MITIGATE ONLY install “Enable jQuery Migrate Helper”. It will restore functionality ONLY TEMPORARILY. Since the issue is most likely your outdated theme.Beyond that, there’s nothing more. (I’m NOT A DEV). All the answers are provided above. I know cause I’ve fixed all mine.

@azaozz put it best. The plugin in question “jQuery Migrate” is temporary and will restore your backend administrator functionality. It mitigates the bigger issue.
The bigger issue is Themes/Plugins which jQuery migrate will point out are using deprecated code. The developers/owners/businesses who own these plugins/themes have no choice but to update them or they will die off.
If you see any jQuery Migrate information above your site’s at various places, it clearly points out the plugin in the path and what’s deprecated in it.
The best thing you can do as a user/consumer is to open a ticket with the associated plugin so that developers can figure what they want to do.
I’ve personally updated my theme, plugins that needed to be updated and my site’s backend functionality has been completely restored.

Most of it is all now resolved on my end.
The theme developer I have completed and update yesterday which resulted in majority of all those errors to stop. Classic Editor functionality and everything else has been restored.
W3-Total-Cache updated their plugin as well which corrected many of the errors. FontAwesome by Micky is still an issue.

In reply to: [Better Font Awesome] WordPress 5.5 Depreciated JQuery In Better Font AwesomeUltimately, the developer of the them I use released an update, and majority of all the errors and functionality that weren’t working are all restored.
@ejesgist I don’t own or develop anything. This comes directly from WordPress and classic editor developers and yeah that’s the issue. But hey what do I know right? ??

In reply to: [Better Font Awesome] WordPress 5.5 Depreciated JQuery In Better Font Awesome@aboyit you’re suppose to see those errors. That’s means the developer or company needs to update the plugins with recent jQuery
@linkmeister who ever the plugin creator/company will have to have their plugin code to the latest jQuery. Until then you’ll see this all over the administration section to let you know plugins have outdated jQuery.
This is only to mitigate. Eventually the plugins and theme needs to get updated or die off.
@linkmeister search for the plugin in your WordPress. Plugins/Add search.
