Hi Camu, thank you for the prompt reply.
I remember trying to fix this problem before and must have seen your answer previously, because when I went to make the change you suggested, it was already there:
https://screencast.com/t/wW38tONGs
Just to be sure, I took it off, saved, then put it back and saved again. I disabled my cache and reloaded the page and got the same result as my original screenshot. I’ve tried loading that page in firefox and IE and it’s the same in both.
I noticed that that field for inline CSS has moved from the Options tab to the Comments form tab, which I assume is just a cosmetic change? Either way, it doesn’t appear to be working. :-/
Any thoughts?
Hi Camu, first off thanks for the excellent plugin, your time and effort is appreciated.
I too am having this problem with a very wide checkbox column in the management screen (I’m using the Thesis Theme) but am struggling to set the CSS (I’m not expert) as there doesn’t seem to be a StCR specific class set in the CSS for it, and I don’t read Italian is that? See here for the problem and CSS output:
https://screencast.com/t/MRuAwmiV
I tried using the CSS you posted above and that had no effect whatsoever. I assume the reason is because #subscribe-reloaded isn’t listed as one of the checkbox’s ancestors. When I changed your CSS to apply to #subscribe-reloaded-list, it screwed up the display completely.
I’d appreciate your advice as how to fix this please?
Many thanks,
Colin
Works just great for me too. See here for example: Map of UK CrossFit Affiliates

Dude, you are giving away a free plugin, you have nothing to apologise for! Thank you for your time and effort.

In reply to: [CafePress Widget] Struggling to get the id/tag fields to workActually what I should have said is really what I’m looking for, which is to show design A on product X, design B on product Y, and design C on product Z. The only sensible way to do this is to just put in the specific product IDs.
My reason is that I want to insert links to relevant products in the middle of a post. I think this will get more attention to the products as people are reading down the page.

In reply to: [CafePress Widget] Struggling to get the id/tag fields to workHi,
Yes I downloaded the plugin only yesterday, so it’s the latest version: v1.0.3 and yes it does work. If I only put in my shop id, then I get items from my shop.
Sorry, I should have done more debugging before posting. My question is mostly about how to use the plugin to show what I want. Through trial and error I now understand that the “design id” means the id of the image in the media basket, which I wasn’t sure on from the documentation (rather than that image on a specific product).
However, am I right that I have no control over which product is actually displayed? It’s just the first ones that comes along? E.g. if I want to show a specific design and on a Large mug, t-shirt and mouse mat say, I can’t do that with your plug in, right? Not unless they are the only 3 products associated with that design anyway.
Cheers,
Colin
> PS: A vote for my plugin would be a nice way to thank me!
Already done. ??
Thanks for the quick responses. I’ve switched to the scott yang plugin, added “/comment-subscriptions/” to the filter and all is well.
By the way, Camu, I too was confused by what to put in the Management page field. I didn’t realise it could be any old cr4p, as long is it was in the same format. You might want to consider a few examples in the installation notes.
Thanks for the plugin, good job.
Ah, I’m having the exact same problem and it looks like the same cause, but not quite. I’m using a different Permalink Redirect plugin to the one mentioned above, this one by joostdevalk:
https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/permalink-redirect/
And similarly can’t access the management screen (get 404 error), but when I disable that plugin, the management screen works.
However the permalink redirect plugin I use doesn’t have a settings page where I can add a “paths to be skipped” field. Which is a pity. And the scott yang plugin mentioned above, doesn’t appear in the WordPress plugins list, which makes me suspicious of it.
Any thoughts?

In reply to: Upgrade problem with Secret_Key returning blank pagesSo to summarize, you weren’t using a good FTP program, you didn’t get a good FTP uploaded of the WordPress files, you forgot to disable plugins before doing the upgrade, and you added the SECRET_KEY definition to the wrong place in wp-config.php.
Errr no. If I wasn’t using a good FTP program and reloading the files was the problem, then that would have solve the blank screen problem wouldn’t it?
I do have a competent FTP program (FireFTP plugin for Firefox if you’re interested), I did follow all the instructions to the letter, including disabling all my plugins and adding the secret_key definition, which as your change to the instructions admits, was missing a vital element.
Based on that, I really don’t see how you can say “it’s made me question the fundamental quality of the whole blogging phenomena that is WordPress”. A retraction might be in order.
I have worked in IT for nearly 15 years, from Developer to Project Manager and have seen many wild and wonderful bugs. But I have never seen a system break so badly because of the addition of a new line at the end of a config file. Worse than that, there appear to be so many causes of the Blank Screen problem, but why do none of them produce any kind of error log that gives the user some vague hint of what the problem might be? Lack of error handling and logging is a noob trait that I’ve personally had to beat out of more novice coders than I care to remember.
For the record my issue here is with what appears to be the lack of Defensive Programming. You give instructions for novice / non-IT people to edit a config file, but clearly the person who wrote the parsing function for that file didn’t give any thought to what might go wrong. Trimming up the input to ignore empty space etc is a pretty basic first step imo.
So as to my statement, it’s a personal view, I’m entitled to it and in this case I think it’s justified. Note I’m not saying WordPress is rubbish, far from it, it’s a great piece of software. I like the fact that it’s so extensible, supported, looked after and has a solid feature set. However this recent incident has given me pause for thought and I think that’s a reasonable response.

If you know of a 7th cause and solution, I would be happy to include it in my list?

In reply to: pages blank after 2.5.1 upgradeI had the same problem (God I’m getting tired of writing this post on all the people who have had the same issue as us!). Followed the same steps (disabling plugins etc) and finally found the solution. There’s an issue with the upgrade instructions for 2.5.1 that caused me to make a mistake.
