In reply to: Delete all pending users in cPanel TablesThank you so much for taking the time to respond. You led me to the correct admin page. For this issue (needing to mass-delete pending users), the term to consider from the Users Admin Menu, not the resulting display, is “Manage Signups”. On navigating to that link at /wp-“admin/users.php?page=bp-signups” I was able to change the number of views, which was set at 100. I was then able to change that number up to a maximum of “999”. And, that truly allowed me to delete 997 in one block.
I love this forum because of the generous help I find from my WP Friends.
Thank you again!

In reply to: Upload Theme Button Doesn’t WorkI turned off the plugins, and that seems to have allowed me to upload new theme. I’ll upload the Health Check next and try to root out the evil-doing plugin.
Much appreciated.
Ok. I FINALLY have this situation resolved. Sadly, I will have to delete this plugin after consulting with my ISP.
I’ll miss not being able to “screen” new users prior to them getting activated, and watching live activity on the page.
Thanks for trying to assist.
It looks like I may have inadvertently neglected to select this box:
“Enable Front-end Lockout: [] Check this if you want all visitors except those who are logged in as administrator to be locked out of the front-end of your site.”Is there a way to turn this “on” somewhere?
I’ve already tried renaming the plugins folder via File Manager in cPanel, and that didn’t work.
Good Morning, @mbrsolution!
Thank you SO Much for your reply. I was getting worried.
I’ve tried the “wp-login.php AND the “wp-admin.php” methods. Neither is working. I haven’t reviewed the settings in the associated dashboard in a very long time. So, I don’t recall if I had Brute Force activated, but I’m fairly certain I did not have rename login page activated.
I’m using GoDaddy cPanel. Is there someway to successfully check those two settings in the cPanel, under MyPHPAdmin, or inside the File Manager, and deactivate the offending setting? Or, temporarily delete the plugin?
I used to do this routinely with no problems. Not sure what happened.
Looking forward to your reply.
Have a great day!

I’m closing this support request. If the moderator could delete this, I’d appreciate it.
I made a mistake identifying Wordfence as the problematic plugin.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] WooCommerce Fails to UpdateHello @riaanknoetze,
I’m simply using the plugin update process within the WP dashboard.
I just again, and received this error.“An error occurred while updating WooCommerce: Could not copy file. woocommerce/includes/admin/settings/views/class-wc-settings-rest-api.php”. I am NOT hosted in wordpress.com.
I hope this helps you, RK. Thanks for the reply.

In reply to: Fatal error: Class ‘CustomAdminSubPage’@macmanx Thank you for your reply. I apologize for my delay. I FINALLY got in touch with the current host, and was able to gain FTP access.
So, I hope this isn’t a stupid question. [Don’t you hate it when people start like that.]
Anyway, it appears there is an empty folder with a child theme with the same name.I renamed the active theme per your suggestion. Unfortunately, the site didn’t revert to the default theme. When the page loads, it is simply a blank page. I’m glad that I have been able to change what viewers see, but I still need a nudge in the right direction.
Any additional thoughts come to mind?

In reply to: Changed Admin Email; still waiting on confirmation email link@sterndata, Thanks for your quick response. Your solution solved
that problem wonderfully in terms of allowing me to change the admin email.
For some reason, however, I am still not receiving email notifications as I test a new plugin. The plugin uses a “[admin_email]” short code in a Formidable form. I think I’ll just strip that shortcode out until I can figure that out with Formidable.
For now, I’ll close this ticket since changing the account was the primary concern, and that is resolved. I’ll go to Formidable next.- This reply was modified 5 years, 10 months ago by GunnyRet.
