In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Google map in Contact InfoI also thought something on similar lines. However I am not a programmer so didn’t try testing myself.
Thanks for the reply. Looks like will have to wait till Google fixes the problem in their API.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Can't register G account.@jeremy Herve,
I found the solution the problem.
I opened the Java console (on Windows, it is located in Control Panel).
Cleared the Java cache, deleted the saved files and reset the plugin from there. Now I am able to connect G+ profile in Jetpack.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Can't register G account.I do use AdBlock. No other softwares. I use AVG but never had problems with that. I will try disable all that and see if it helps. Will let you know.
PS: Yes I did try different browsers (without add-on, plugins) on two different Operating Systems. That is why I am a little baffled to see the error message.
Will update here soon as I have tried without AdBlock.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Can't register G account. Thanks for the reply @jeremy.
Let me elaborate a little more. I will also quote the exact error message.
1) Yes I have G+ account.
2) WordPress is listed on G+ as authorised application.
3) I tries to connect Jetpack using various browsers on Windows 7 and Linux (Ubuntu). The error message I get is:
You've reached this page because we have detected that Javascript is disabled in your browser. The page you attempted to load cannot display properly if scripts are disabled. Please enable scripts and retry the operation or go back in your browser.
Java scripts are enabled. I am not a programmer. However I am very well aware of computers and know for sure that Javascripts are indeed enabled on all the browsers I tries on both the operating systems.
The problem has been persistant since G+ connect feature was released and over two (maybe more) updates of WordPress.
Thank you for your prompt response. I will also keep looking in this matter to see what stops me from connecting to G+.
Sorry about that. I was so disappointed, that I switched it back to 2012. However, I think I better keep it in 2013 and let others see what I am talking about. You may check the link now.

In reply to: [Twenty Thirteen] The Header Image….I have similar problem. Not so much with portable devices as I don’t particularly test the layout on them. However, even standard PC based browsing, there seems to a gross confusion.
As Tryah85 has mentioned, yes I can design/save my image in 3200×460 format and rename/replace it in the source folder. However, that is not the right way to do it. When it says on the header upload page that the image has to be 1600×230 and when I do upload an exact size image, it still crops the image from left and right. Any other dimension image will invoke the crop function when I upload the image. I haven’t found an straight simple way to use my own images for header.
I am possibly missing something but then again, till I know, I won’t get to use my choice of image for header.

In reply to: [Ultimate TinyMCE] Very neat and effective.Hello Josh,
In this world where everyone is out on a massive mission of fault finding spreading rubbish, finding flaws, few, it at all, take a moment to appreciate something that is truly good, deserve appreciation and spend a few moments to speak about it.
Have you ever seen (except in movies and TV programs) people actually say ‘I like this’ or ‘I am happy today’. Sadly most people will be ready and willing to dump their bit of sadness onto others.
Me and my friends/associates, are working on a concept called ‘Happiness Effect’. Write, talk and spread ‘good’ things and hope others will catch on. In our active pursuit for doing this, not the artsy hippy way, we are constantly looking at things. Be it a new game, a new restaurant, a new recipe, a new joke, a random trivial news post … just about anything. Even a good plugin on WordPress plugins library. We find it good and impressive, we share it and talk about it.
Good effort definitely deserves to be applauded. If not by money, at least speaking nice and spreading the word is a good start.
I wish you best Josh.

In reply to: [Ultimate TinyMCE] Very neat and effective. No worries. As I said, that is just one little thing. It did not stop me from switching to UTMCE.
Whenever that feature becomes available, trust me I will change the rating to 5 stars for sure.
Wish you best.

In reply to: [Ultimate TinyMCE] Very neat and effective.Hello Marventus,
I know the limitation of the editor window and how it is constrained due the limited width offered. Of course it sure is a problem for both the developers as well as users like me who would want to have lots of ‘goodies’ enabled on the editor.
Before I switched to UTMCE I was using one particular plugin, that offered absolute control on how I configure the buttons in the editor. I could practically customize every button, it’s position on the bar, add separators etc. It would be difficult to describe in words. Best is if you look at this plugin, you will understand what I mean.

In reply to: [Skype Legacy Buttons] Plugin stopped working?I just upgraded to WordPress to 3.5 and the online status balloon has has disappeared. Even the status is in error. I checked my skype settings and all other settings. No change there. Is this a problem with compatibility?
All other plugins seem to be working fine.
No progress yet?? Oh boy … this is sad. ??
MyomeschoolStyle: Glad to help. Or shall I say, share a solution to a problem. We all face or the problem and I feel that it is indeed nice to share what worked. I know the feeling when one is frustrated on a trivial issue of something so basic NOT working. ?? Have fun.
MyHomeSchoolStyle: Suggestion for you.
CSS has a tendency of not being reloaded so often. Even when you think you have made changes, it may not actually be loading the new file. Try to clear the browser cache. Shutfdown broswer, restart and reload the page again. If you have added the code correctly, I ought to work. Alternatively there could be something else in your Theme code that could be blocking it.
Believe me I had struggled a lot on this one. The only practical solution I found was the one that I posted about and it works like a charm.
