I can recommend Profprojects or Gconverter for that kind of work.

You can use Go2wpForo tool to import the topics in wpForo if you are using board that are integrated with the tool

You can disable wpForo Registration, disable wpForo Register/Login/Reset Password URL’s and Use Peepso Login for your website.
You can find these features at Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Features Tab`

Enable User Registration.
Replace Registration Page URL to Forum Registration Page URL.
Replace Login Page URL to Forum Login Page URL.
Replace Reset Password Page URL to Forum Reset Password Page URL.

wpForo doesn’t have own user, wpForo uses WordPress Users,
If you want to restrict several users from the forum, you can do it with wpForo Usergroup
