Ok, this makes sense. Thank you so much. I guess now I am wondering how to apply wholesale changes easily. So, not just a few snippets of CSS, but rather a complete custom override of what a post or page design would default to. Do I create a new page.php or post.php file in the child-theme folder?

Thank you for your response. It is looking like a precedence issue. I am hesitant to put them in the customizer for fear that theme updates may delete them. Is this a valid concern and is there a reason for the style.css in the child-theme to be called with greater precedence?

It just happened again for me too. I excluded the pages in SG Optimizer four months ago, but now the issue has resurfaced for a few people. So frustrating.

Thank you for the response! I have been using SG Optimizer from SiteGround and disabled their dynamic cache. Until I configure a new caching plugin like the article you mentioned suggests, this will prevent it from happening again in the meantime correct?

Why is it necessary to call all of the classes? In the past I only needed to use just one of them. For example, just calling “.desktop” works. Why can’t I call just “.aboutCover?”
