Hi,
Please check if you have OpenSSL enabled on your host. Also, it cannot work on some super restricted hosts and Windows hosting. You might have to check with your hosting support once.
Meanwhile, please try checking folder permissions from root directory itself i.e., public_html/ and re-run SSL install form.
Helping small businesses using shared hosting platforms was our primary intention when we first launched the plugin, glad we could help various small businesses like this. Thanks a lot for your review and keeping us motivated.
Thank you very much for taking your precious time to leave such a fantastic & detailed review :). Reviews like this are our biggest motivation for further development of the plugin.
Have a great day!
Hi,
We see new SSL installed yesterday and your HTTPS site is working absolutely fine.
Hi,
We see new SSL installed on your site on Oct 2 and HTTPS is working fine. No further action required ??
Hi,
Instead of setting HTTPS redirect in Nginx config file, please check .htaccess file located in root directory of your WordPress and make sure there is no code block related to HTTPS redirect, then you can try enabling Force HTTPS feature of WP Encryption.
Hi,
Sorry but our plugin don’t support localhost. Best solution would be to generate self signed SSL certificate and configure it for your localhost server.
@jacobf26 Hi,
That error means plugin is unable to create keys/ directory within your WordPress directory. If you are on wordpress.com hosting, you don’t need to run SSL install & just need to enable Force HTTPS feature. If you are using different hosting, please contact your hosting support once and ask them to set permissions so that WordPress plugin can create new folder within WordPress directory.
Thanks for the review & glad our plugin was helpful.
Thanks a lot for the 5 star review ??
Hi,
SSL certificate authorities cannot issue SSL cert for a localhost site. You will have to generate self signed SSL certificate and install it on your localhost.
@ezekudene If you have installed SSL certificate correctly then no issues with HTTPS. Your site is tagged as ‘Dangerous’ by Google, possibly due to malicious activity, content violations, etc., and its not related to SSL. You’ll need to resolve the issue and request a review as explained here – https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6347750?hl=en
Please consider updating the review if our response was helpful.
