Thanks for the update. I also noticed that the flood of attacks is slowing but not quite stopped.
The SQL injection attack is somewhat concerning though. I don’t have any of those plugins on any of my sites but that means the problem is more wide-spread.

Okay, I deactivated NextGen then uploaded a new copy of the plugin version .33 and re-activated.
It’s now working and the errors have gone away. So apparently a corrupted file somewhere.
It’s very odd that on two separate sites the same thing would happen, using the built-in wordpress update mechanism.
However both are working again now.
Thanks!
The WordPress Updates page, using the Plugins update option.
I had to download the .31 version of NextGen and use my ftp client to overwrite the .33 version.
Both sites now back running, and both break again when I try to update to .33 – using my ftp client, not the WordPress updater
Downgrading back to .31 resolves the problems on both sites. Both sites are nearly identical in configuration and plug-ins, both up-to-date with WP 4.0.1 and plugins. The update to .33 definitely broke this.
Wow, just found this plugin and now hear it may no longer be actively developed. I find it invaluable and would be willing to pay to ensure it stays alive.
Let’s get some community support for this, there’s nothing else like it that works as well. I was happy when the spam registrations stopped but shocked at the number of attacks recorded per day. We need tools like this to help us protect our sites.
keep up the good work!
Me too. Can’t insert a Singlepic any more.
Where can we download earlier versions of the plugin? The automatic update is a killer. I’d like to downgrade to 2.0.21 so my site will actually be usable.
