I’m a stickler for these things — on the left side of your blog, it says “Everything in it’s right place”. It should be “Everything in its right place”. Drop the apostrophe.

The blog looks pretty cool. I like the colours, but I think the Recent Comments section has too much prominence for my liking.

Is your blog hosted on your own server, or is it hosted on wordpress.com? As in, is your blog’s URL ‘something.wordpress.com’?

Sorry for the delay. Lots of things going on at work for me, so I haven’t quite found the time to get started on the theme as yet. I have started work on my blog, though, and it will hopefully be up very soon.

@ Kheldon – I’m just making a theme, man. Some of the stuff you’ve asked for falls outside the scope of a theme ?? You might want to look at some plugins/hacks to accomplish stuff like that.

Try doing this:

        background: url(https://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y256/LOST_IN_PA/airplane3-5.jpg) no-repeat bottom center;
        }

Your image is stored on photobucket and not in your theme folder, so you don’t need to add the <?php bloginfo('stylesheet_directory'); ?> bit.

Hey, guys. thanks for the awesome response. I will be starting my own blog @ https://www.themasterplan.in in about 2-3 days’ time. I’ll be blogging about WordPress and other tech stuff, and I’m planning to release a few themes as well, the first of which will be this magazine theme.

I’ll get started on this magazine theme on March 1. It’ll probably take me about 10 days or so to release it. If you have any additional feature requests, etc., please make them before March 1. Thanks ??

What you’re talking about is WordPress.com — it is a hosted service, much like Xanga or Livejournal. If you want to avail of third-party plugins, themes and the like, you should get your own server and install WordPress (application) on your own server. A lot of hosting companies offer one-click installs of WordPress to make installation easy.

AnthonyP: Mudsugar has a custom layout, and the sections on the home page, etc. are tailor-made to the site’s content. I am releasing a generic theme, so I can’t be that specific ??

plainsman: Soxnest.com’s layout is a little too cluttered for me, but I get what you’re saying. Thanks for the suggestion.
