In reply to: [Rotating Tweets (Twitter widget and shortcode)] Search does not workThanks for your response and explanation! Yes I see your test tweet shows up as the only tweet in the plugin. I don’t suppose a future feature could involve archiving tweets?
Anyways I was discussing possible solutions with my employer, and one suggestion was that we broaden the search to include multiple users (our employees and partners) and filter those posts with multiple relevant hashtags. Is there a way to write the shortcode to search multiple users and to look for any of several hashtags?
If that doesn’t work, we will likely only use the twitter feed when events happen, since that’s when we have the most activity. Or we might schedule two or so generic tweets per week, to keep it populated.
Interested to know your thoughts. Thanks again!
I’m not using any of the legacy templates (the tooltip recommended against it, so I left the Template drop down blank).
Thanks for your response. I did go through Gallery > Gallery Settings > NextGEN Basic Thumbnails and ‘Show slideshow link’ is set to ‘No’.
Also, I have ‘Override thumbnail settings’ set to ‘True’, and 120 x 120 entered as thumbnail dimensions (it displays 120 x 90 as default I believe). I’ve done this for NextGEN Basic Thumbnails, NextGEN Basic Compact Album, and NextGEN Basic Extended Album (just in case).
NextGEN Basic Compact (and Extended) Album is set to ‘Display galleries as: NextGEN Basic Thumbnails’.
I used the ‘Attach NextGEN Gallery to Post’ button in the post text editor. The text field shows:
<img class="ngg_displayed_gallery mceItem" src="https://localhost/wordpress/nextgen-attach_to_post/preview/id--6831" alt="" />
I feel like your backend settings are very straight forward, it just isn’t registering my changes.
I have the same problem – removing [Show Slideshow] does not work. This is what I really hope will be solved. I mentioned the other problem (thumbnail dimensions also do not change) only to suggest they might be related. Maybe that information will help the developer. If the solution to remove [Show Slideshow] does not fix the thumbnail size issue, I will post a new topic. Thanks!
This may be related – I am also unable to change the size of the thumbnails. The default was 120×90. Under NextGEN Basic Compact Album, I checked ‘Yes’ to Override Thumbnail Settings, and entered 120×120 as thumbnail size. No effect. I then went down to NextGEN Basic Thumbnails, checked ‘Yes’ to Override Thumbnail Settings, the default was still 120×90. I changed this to 120×120, but there was still no effect.
I have the same issue, going through the Gallery settings to remove [Show Slideshow] does nothing.
You asked @navv if they use a custom template. I use Visual Composer (included in the X theme) to create rows of content. The thumbnail slideshow is in one of these rows, below a headline and some text. Not sure how this would interfere with removing the [Show Slideshow] link, I suspect this is broken and needs fixing.
