Thanks. I’ve been looking into it. I think you guys should have a startup package for brand new blogs or blogs in niches that publish a lot but can’t be monetized like pro-blogger blogs. Something for people with less than 1K, 5K or less subscribers for instance. Will keep watch for future models and promotions.

I saw an update roll out. I haven’t upgraded yet. To note, I thought $10/mo was reasonable for a personal blog or a start up blog not making money yet. I was totally willing to pay it and planned on upgrading when I was done designing the site (didn’t make sense to pay while my site wasn’t live.) Prices of things add up though. When we consider how many plugins have subscriptions and fees for premium features, the cost of a small starting blog can be upwards of $100 a month while making no profit. Blogs typically don’t make that much in adsense either. When you add the cost of a host, cdn, spam, security, ssl etc. It gets very expensive for a blog that is not even making money. I would hope to one day monetize, but no way is that going to be profitable for a long time. We must build a subscriber base. Think that only 2% of members invest in a blog. So for 1000 members (which is VERY hard to get), only 10 will make a donation or buy something. Affiliate commissions and google don’t pay a lot of money. Not everyone is monetizing content. That can be very annoying for users. So such decisions become very hard. Just giving some feedback. Thanks for responding.

I discovered it was an issue with my theme. I resolved the issue in the theme and deleted Super Socializer, then reinstalled it. ??

I pasted the above into my functions (the 4 lines) and nothing happened. I pasted just the first 2 in order to remove. Nothing happened.

I also tried:

remove_action( ‘show_user_profile’, array( &$cb_p6, ‘patreon_user”‘ ) );
remove_action( ‘edit_user_profile’, array( &$cb_p6, ‘patreon_user”‘ ) );

Nothing happened

I also tried wrapping it in a function for admin_init, nothing.

I also noticed the field label is rendering as address and field name and id are rendering as cb_p6_patreon_user.

Could it be the plugin adds the field AFTER my theme functions.php executes?

Could it be not working because I’m using a child theme?

In my installation, the field is currently quite buried in between my SEO author settings and my WooCommerce billing address area.

If you have any ideas, that would be an awesome help.

I did start getting responses from the helpdesk, thank you. It could have been on the end of Gmail (one of your responses went to a filter) however, I’m sure I sent more than one email (about several things) as I got a few responses when I finally got them. ?? Things seem working properly now. And I’m working on the other weird happenings via email.

I will be signing up for Pro once I’m in the final stages of the site development.
