In reply to: Visual Editor Fails in WP 3.3.1 – Tried all I know, need helpGlad it is working. BTW for others that is one of the normal debugs for anything wrong on the back-end. As long as you don’t mess with the wp-content folder you won’t loose plugins, themes, etc. Often you have to do the step more than once. It seems that ftp gets the hic-ups sometimes.
I was not aware of this, but if I ever have that problem again, I’ll remember! LOL Thank you for your help! ??

In reply to: Visual Editor Fails in WP 3.3.1 – Tried all I know, need helpQuick add. Again, here’s a link to the picture of what my visual editor looks like.
There are no formatting buttons. Aside from typing, there is no way to format things. And any type in there is white. Regardless of how it’s formatted.

In reply to: Visual Editor Fails in WP 3.3.1 – Tried all I know, need helpHave you deleted the wp-includes and wp-admin folders? Then download a fresh copy of wp and upload the folders to the server. DO NOT mess with the wp-content folder. Do not send zipped versions and unzip on the server, send the actual files via ftp.
Have you tried changing the color of the text in the visual editor when highlighted?
If I do that with those two folders, what kind of “fixing” of other things will I need to do? Will I need to reinstall my plugins? Will I need to redo my sidebars, etc.? I am going to try it, but I want/need to know what all I’m going to have to do after that. How will it affect the site as a whole?
So far as changing the color of the text in the visual editor, all of my formatting buttons are GONE from the visual editor. I can highlight to my heart’s content, but changing the color ain’t gonna happen!

In reply to: Visual Editor is BrokenThank you for your response!
I don’t think I have an mu-plugins folder. Where would it be if I did?
Yesterday I did the resetting the plugins folder via FTP. Do I still need to try disabling them all then reactivating them one by one? (When you say one by one, do you mean, only one running at a time, or just check my Visual Editor before reactivating a new one?)

In reply to: Visual Editor is BrokenCan someone please help me? I don’t know what to do, but I know there has to be a way to fix this. (And hopefully reinstalling WP isn’t the only way.)
