Hi and thank you so much for coming back to me so fast.
Can I post the contents of the functions.php file here, if you wouldn’t mind taking a look? I wouldn’t know if there’s an error there, although nothing has been thrown up in the c-panel file editor.

    Hi Joey,
Thanks for that, I will try it today. Temporarily I just reloaded the old tab.php file and it’s working, but I’d much rather fix it properly. I did update the whole of Woo with the new version yesterday before all this kicked off, but I’ll do it again the way you suggest and let you know the results.

I got it to work, thanks very much! I figured out how to change the font size too. I’m really grateful for your help.

I know it’s pushing it, but if you could please help me out with the tabs issue too, I’d be good to go. Should I just replace the original template file and leave it at that?

I didn’t change anything but the tab.php file and then I only copy/paste updated it with the latest version, because Woo status said it was out of date. I rather wish I hadn’t now!

    Hi Joey,
Having read the thread, I think that might do the job but I’m afraid I’m not sure how the snippet needs putting into function.php. I’m not very up on PHP syntax.

Hi Joey – thanks so much! I’ll go and look. In the meantime, I updated the tab.php template, perfectly correctly, and it’s done strange things to the product page tabs. They’re now showing as links in a vertical list. I’m starting to wonder if it’s me…!

Thanks so much for replying. I’ve solved the problem. Apparently, the page jump doesn’t work on the WP preview, although all the other button links do. I’ve just published the page and checked again before sending you the URL and the page jump works fine.
Phew! I’m sorry I wasted your time and thanks again!

    Hi again,
I’ve set the anchor and that’s fine. I don’t know what I should put in the button URL box. Nothing I’ve tried works. Please help!
    Thank you

Thank you for your fast reply.

I’m not very good with code (which is why I was so pleased to find your buttons!) and I know this should be simple, but I’ve added the id to the page (I think!) and the link to the button URL and it’s not skipping down the page to the right section but is instead just opening the whole page from the top.
The button URL I’ve added is just the name of the page picked from the list of pages under the URL box and I’ve added /#faq at the end, as that’s the anchor id or at least what I intended it to be!
The anchor id code I put in the text is <id=”faq”>. I must have got it wrong somewhere and I’d be really grateful if you could help me out please as I’m on a short deadline to get this done.
    Thanks so much!

Hi and thank you for your reply, but that’s not quite what I meant. I already had that setting selected and the whole accordion is closed when the page is loaded.

What I was asking refers to when the accordion is actually being used. if I click on the first section, it opens as expected. If I then click on the second section below, the first section remains open. Is there a way to automatically make the first section close when the second opens please, or does it only close if the ‘-‘ is clicked?

    Many thanks.

Thank you for your fast reply and you hit the nail right on the head!

There is indeed a shortcode block available in this section, but it’s accessed via a drop-down which doesn’t make it clear that it’s the way to go to find it.

I’ve got the timer working perfectly now.

Never mind – I managed to do it using some extra CSS gleaned from three different sites. It works really well now with a satisfying down-up on clicking.
It would be nice to have this facility added to MaxButtons though ??

For anyone else looking for this function, I added this to the Additional CSS section of the Appearance-Customise menu:

    a:active {
    box-shadow: inset 5px 5px 7px 2px #333333 !important;}

Obviously the parameters need changing to suit. On my button, the shadow goes from bottom/right outside the button to top/left on top of the button.
The PX numbers control (from left to right): horizontal shadow placement, vertical shadow placement, blur and spread. ‘Inset’ makes the shadow appear on the button itself, making it look like it’s being pushed in. I don’t usually like using ‘!important’, but in this case the original will override the new CSS if you don’t use it.

    I hope this makes sense!

Thanks a lot. I’ll give it a try.

    Thank you Chris.
These solved most of the problems, although I did have to use !important on the responsive text – the headings are struggling a bit on the smallest size, but I can work out how to adjust them I think. I was surprised that the text boxes didn’t rearrange to single column on the smallest screen size – they just went long and thin with not very readable sentence lengths, but stayed in 3 columns. I may have to play some more.

The success message didn’t centre in the middle of the page, but did span the first two columns and, in the larger pt size, is much more obvious and is fine as is.

Many thanks for your excellent and fast support – much appreciated.

    Regards,
    Ann
