    Hi @reggiequestions

    That’s definitely an odd problem!

If you don’t mind me asking, could you share how you added that link to the anchor text? Did you use any HTML tags for the same?

Additionally, could you hover your mouse over the link text on Googel Chrome (where it doesn’t work), right click, click on “Inspect Element” from the dropdown, and share a screenshot of what you see over there for us? You can use a site like https://snipboard.io or https://imgur.com to upload the screenshot and share it with us.

Off the top of the head, I suspect that the issue may be with the way the link was added, which is why I’d like to see why that’s happening.

Additionally, does this happen with all the anchor links that you add in the site, or is this the lone link causing this issue?

I look forward to hearing back from you!

    Hi @mrsoul

You have asked an excellent question:

What I’d like is to have more options in the “Category List” block, including being able to display only the children of the category being read.

Could you elaborate on this please? You mentioned being able to list only the children of the category being used. What other options would you like to have?

Based on your answer, I’m happy to test this out to see if there’s a way to achieve what you wanted – either with or without code.

Looking forward to hearing back from you!

    Hi @portsrus22

I see what you are getting at. Thanks for clarifying.

I’m afraid there isn’t a plugin that will help you replicate something like live-football.tv, you will need to do it custom. However, I may be able to help you there.

If you are fine with adding events and displaying them somewhere, some of the plugins here might be helpful: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/search/event/ – you can always style the events to look like the site.

Alternatively, if you get the fixtures over a spreadsheet and would rather import them directly, you can use a plugin like this to do that: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/import-spreadsheets-from-microsoft-excel/ Mind you, you will still need to do some customization and styling over CSS to replicate the live-football site’s look.

In any case, your requirement is going to need some customization and the use of multiple plugins, I feel. Feel free to play around with it to see what works best. I think you should be able to achieve your requirements with some trial and error.

    I hope that helps!

@nessadog Oh, I hear you! Its purpose is to make sure that site owners or users can edit content directly from the front end. One could click on the “edit” button to go on and make edits, instead of navigating to the backend in order to make those changes. However, I understand that the placement could be confusing.

I’m glad you were able to resolve this nonetheless. All the best!

    Hi @khawlabyd

That is an odd problem that you are facing. Let me see what I can do to help you out!

Eventhough i deleted the themes and the plugin i still have them shown in the website.

I am not sure I understand the problem. Are you trying to say that whatever you do, the appearance of the themes that you had previously installed still keeps showing up?

If that is the case, I have a couple of hunches on what could be causing this issue:

    • Could there be a caching tool or caching plugin in your site? If your site is heavily cached (or if you are using a CDN tool like cloudflare), your site URL might be displaying an older version of your site. If you are aware of this, please consider flushing your site’s cache to see if that helps.
    • Are you certain that you are checking the correct URL? From what you are saying, you are attempting to make changes in your site, but none of them seem to be showing up. Perhaps, you are doing tests on a staging URL and the live site is showing up as the same?
    • Are any changes that you make in the site (e.g. removing or adding pages posts etc) showing up on your site? Or is the issue just specific to the theme/appearance that is just not changing despite all your efforts?

I look forward to hearing back from you!

    Hi @mmrmom

That sounds quite odd. Off the top of my head, I cannot think of a reason why this could be happening. The block seems to be working properly in my tests as well.

I have a couple of questions for you in the meantime:

    • Have you tried using this block successfully before? Or is it the first time you’re trying it? If you’ve used it before, has it worked on your site?
    • When you add the file block, is the name of the file being displayed? Or, is nothing getting added at all? Here’s a screenshot to explain what I’m referring to:
    • Which is the version of WordPress you are using? May I suggest trying this out with the latest version of WordPress (if you are on an older version and feel comfortable updating)
    • When you try to replicate the issue the next time, could you right click on the area where you tried adding the block, choose the option “Inspect Element” and share a screenshot of what you see? Here’s an example from my end for reference:

You can use a tool like https://snipboard.io or https://imgur.com for sharing screenshots
    • While you are in that page above, can you open the Console tab of your browser and check for any error messages?

I look forward to hearing back from you!

    Hello @iasmina

You have reached the support forum for www.ads-software.com general questions, where we support users with general or common questions about WordPress. We are unable to answer questions on a specific theme or plugin.

I understand that your question is on the WooCommerce plugin specifically. I recommend asking this question to the WooCommerce Support Team directly so the plugin’s/theme’s developers and support community can help you with this.

I hope this guides you in the right direction. All the very best!

    Hi @jai6358

    Excellent question!

I did some digging for you, it may not be possible to achieve this specific requirement with a plugin, as it involves moving parts like conditional logic. Also, I see that your ultimate requirement is to create an E-Commerce site, which would need a plugin like WooCommerce. You could use a multi-step checkout add-on for WooCommerce to create this requirement OR use a conditional logic form plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/search/conditional+logic+forms/ – I doubt if the latter would help, but there may be a way to do this with an E Commerce plugin.

If you want to reach out to WooCommerce for help, you can drop them a message here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/woocommerce/ – they may be able to guide you further.

With that said, if you wish to achieve this feature in a standalone manner, you might need to do some custom development.

    I hope that helps!

    Hey @chrisbarella

Excellent question! I did some digging, you might need to use a plugin to achieve this requirement. I did a quick search and it appears that one of these plugins might help you achieve this requirement: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/search/export+to+word/

I hope that guides you in the right direction!

Thanks for the update, @grl570810 and for doing those tests. Since the issue doesn’t occur in 6.0.x, this definitely looks like a bug to me.

I just took a look at that Trac ticket, and I think you have done a fantastic job over there. Kudos on your first core ticket (and core contribution!). ??

Btw, until the issue stands fixed, if you would like to enable maintenance mode on your site, may I suggest that you use a plugin to achieve this as a stopgap solution? https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/search/maintenance+mode/ Since maintenance mode plugins operate in a different way, I feel that using one of those plugins should help you in keeping your site on maintenance mode, and will help you achieve your requirement.

I do hope that this helps you! I also hope that the bug gets fixed in the next release. All the very best!

    Hi @webslingness

First of all, my apologies for the late response to you. Well, since everything is working fine right now, you should be good. However, if the error comes back though, do let me know.

I have a theory about it though, there may have been a particular situation that triggered the error your noticed. A combination of actions from you (or from within the code) – either the error was fixed in one of the updates, or that same scenario has not returned, which could be the reason why you are not seeing it again.

With that said, I would keep an eye out for this, and should it come back, please let us know!

    Hi @sikitraki

First of all, my apologies for the late reply to your message. I did some more digging, and this definitely appears to be a BeaverBuilder issue, coming from their plugin. I hope Beaver Builder support were able to guide you in the right direction on this nonetheless.

    Hey @nessadog

I took a look at your site, and I could not find the edit button that you were referring to. Here’s a screenshot of what I see: https://d.pr/i/Q0IXsK

I have a theory about why you are seeing the edit button though – it is probably because you are logged in to your site. When you’re logged in, the edit button shows up as a way for you to make edits to your site easily. It’s a WordPress feature.

If you would like to test this out, open a private/incognito window in your browser (File > New Incognito Window in Chrome, and File > New Private Window in Firefox/Safari) and try loading your site. In all probability, you may not see the edit button.

If the button still shows up in your tests, even as you are logged out of WordPress, please let me know. I’m happy to dig deeper to find out why this is happening.

    Thanks!
